''Rock 'n Roll Children'' is the second album by Finnish band Sturm und Drang. The album was released 12 November 2008 in Finland, and 16 January 2009 in other parts of Europe. ''Rock 'n Roll Children'' went straight to number two on the Finnish sales chart, and it was certified gold (15.000 records) within one week in Finland. The album was produced by Jimmy Westerlund, and co-produced by André Linman, Patrick Linman, Mats Persson, Erik Mårtensson and Johan Becker. Jani Liimatainen (Ex-Sonata Arctica, Cain's Offering) wrote the song "River Runs Dry". The first single from the album, "Break Away", was released 22 September 2008. ''Rock 'n Roll Children'' was released in Germany on 16 January 2009, with a different track listing. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Cain's Offering
Cain's Offering is a Finnish power metal supergroup that formed in 2008. History Cain's Offering was formed by former Sonata Arctica members Jani Liimatainen and Mikko Härkin, Stratovarius singer Timo Kotipelto, Norther and Wintersun bass player Jukka Koskinen and drummer Jani Hurula. Their debut album '' Gather the Faithful'' was released in July 2009 through the Japanese label Marquee Inc.. All music and lyrics were written by Liimatainen. On June 25 the band announced that they have signed a deal with Frontiers Records and that their debut album will be released on August 28 in Europe and on September 11 in the USA. Sturm Und Drang (band)
Sturm und Drang was a Finnish heavy metal/hard rock band from Vaasa formed in 2004. The band's original members were lead singer/guitarist André Linman, guitarist/backing vocals Alexander Ivars, keyboardist Jesper Welroos, bassist/backing vocalist Henrik Kurkiala and drummer/backing vocalist Calle Fahllund. Other members were bassist Joel Wendlin (joined 2010) and guitarist Jani Kuoppamaa (joined 2011). The band started off as schoolmates covering bands such as Judas Priest and gradually started writing their own material. They were discovered in 2005 by record label HMC. Sonata Arctica is a Finnish power metal band from the town of Kemi, Finland. Created as a hard rock band named Tricky Beans, they later changed to Tricky Means and finally to Sonata Arctica, when they shifted to power metal. The current lineup consists of drummer Tommy Portimo, lead singer Tony Kakko, keyboardist Henrik Klingenberg, guitarist Elias Viljanen and bassist Pasi Kauppinen. All the musicians of the band's history except Portimo also acted as backing vocalists.
