''Rock 'n' Roll Band'' is the second concert film released by rock band Tea Leaf Green. Originally recorded live at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado, it captures the bands May 19, 2006 performance. It was the first show of their early summer Midwest tour. Tea Leaf Green is an American four-piece jam band from the San Francisco Bay Area, composed of Josh Clark (guitar and vocals), Trevor Garrod ( keyboards, vocals, guitar, and harmonica), Scott Rager ( drums), and Eric DiBerardino (bass). History Formation and beginning Tea Leaf Green began in the fall of 1996, when Scott Rager met Ben Chambers on the campus of San Francisco State University. Chambers was the group's original bass player but left in 2007; he is featured on the band's first four albums. Rager and Chambers began playing together, practicing in Chambers's bedroom in a back house off Church Street in the Castro District. In early 1997, Clark, a childhood friend of Rager, moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco and became the third member of the band. Garrod, also a SFSU student, joined soon after. The Fox Theatre is a live music venue in Boulder, Colorado. Location The Fox Theatre is located on " The Hill", a commercial, restaurant, and bar district in Boulder. The theatre is located on 13th Street next to the Tulagi's building. The Fox is located across the street from the University of Colorado campus. The Theatre can seat just over 600 people, making for a cozy and intimate venue. History Before the Fox was a staple music venue, it served as the Rialto Theater, the Buffalo Dancing Club, the Anchorage Bar & Grill, Ted’s Buff Cafe, and most recently, The Fox Movie Theater. Bill Kreutzmann
William Kreutzmann Jr. ( ; born May 7, 1946) is an American drummer and founding member of the rock band Grateful Dead. He played with the band for its entire thirty-year career, usually alongside fellow drummer Mickey Hart, and has continued to perform with former members of the Grateful Dead in various lineups, and with his own bands BK3, 7 Walkers and Billy & the Kids. Early life Kreutzmann was born in Palo Alto, California, the son of Janice Beryl (née Shaughnessy) and William Kreutzmann Sr. His father was of German descent. His maternal grandfather was football coach and innovator Clark Shaughnessy. Kreutzmann started playing drums at the age of 13. At first he practiced on a Slingerland drum kit lent to him.
