As a twist this season there were initially no tribes, instead contestants had to earn a spot on a tribe by surviving a challenge and the first tribal council. Another twist was that some of the contestants would have to compete in duels in order to avoid elimination. Gävle
Gävle () is a city in Sweden, the seat of Gävle Municipality and the capital of Gävleborg County. It had 77,586 inhabitants in 2020, which makes it the 13th most populated city in Sweden. It is the oldest city in the historical Norrland (Sweden's Northern Lands), having received its charter in 1446 from Christopher of Bavaria. However, Gävle is far nearer to the greater Stockholm region than it is to most other major settlements in Norrland and has a much milder climate than associated with said region. In recent years, the city has received much international attention due to its large Yule Goat figure made of straw - the Gävle Goat. Vaxholm
Vaxholm is a locality and the seat of Vaxholm Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. It is located on the island of in the Stockholm archipelago. The name Vaxholm comes from Vaxholm Castle, which was constructed in 1549 on an islet with this name on the inlet to Stockholm, for defence purposes, by King Gustav Vasa. For historical reasons it has always been referred to as a ''city'', despite the small number of inhabitants, which as of 2010 total was 4,857. Mora (locality)
Mora is a locality and the seat of Mora Municipality in Dalarna County, Sweden, with 10,896 inhabitants in 2010. History There are signs of human activity in the surroundings of Mora dating from 4000 BC. The earliest found buildings in Mora are from the 7th century. Some of the buildings can today be found in Mora's open-air museum ''Zorns gammelgård'' ("Zorn's old homestead"). Mora parish was established in the 13th century. In late 1520, Gustav Vasa stopped in Mora, in order to organize a rebellion against the Danish troops which occupied Sweden. The citizens of Mora first declined to help Gustav Vasa, but later changed their minds and sought Gustav Vasa when he was about to cross the Norwegian border. Hjärup
Hjärup () is, with its more than 4,250 inhabitants, the second largest locality in Staffanstorp Municipality, Scania, Sweden. Hjärup has a station on the Pågatågen system. The locality has a suburban character with semi-detached houses initially built in the 1960s–1970s on Lundaslätten, the fertile plain south of Lund, initially on land sold off from the farm ''Hjerup''. Hjärup was until the 1990s confined in between the railway and the main road Malmö– Lund. On the other side of the railway, adjacent to Hjärup's station, a district called Jakriborg is now growing. Åkersberga is a locality and the seat of Österåker Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden with 28,033 inhabitants in 2010. History In 1901 a railway station named ''Berga'' was opened on this rural spot some 30 km from Stockholm. Some shops and a post office followed. The name Berga was changed to ''Åkers Berga'' to avoid confusion with other places in Sweden named Berga, and the present name evolved from this.
