Roberto D'Ettorre Piazzoli
Roberto D’Ettorre Piazzoli (born 27 April 1942) is an Italian film producer and cinematographer who has worked frequently with Ovidio G. Assonitis. Born in Rome, Piazzoli began working for the Italian movie industry in the early 1960s as a cameraman, under the direction of Vittorio De Sica, Damiano Damiani, Marco Ferreri, Florestano Vancini, Mauro Bolognini, Dino Risi and Pasquale Festa Campanile. As a cinematographer he has worked on such films as ''The Last Snows of Spring'' and as co-director (under the pseudonym Robert Barrett) on '' Beyond the Door'' and ''Tentacles'' directed by Ovidio G. Pasquale Festa Campanile (28 July 1927 – 25 February 1986) was an Italian screenwriter, film director and novelist, best known as a prominent exponent of the commedia all'italiana genre. Life and career Born at Melfi, in the province of Potenza, he moved to Rome at young age. He started as a writer and literary critic. ''La nonna Sabella'', one of his novels, was later adapted by Dino Risi into the movie of the same name, internationally known as ''Oh! Sabella'' (1957). He began his cinema career as a screenwriter with ''Faddija – La legge della vendetta'' (1949) by Roberto Bianchi Montero and later co-produced masterpieces of Italian cinema such as ''Poveri ma belli'' (1957) by Risi and ''Rocco and His Brothers'' (1960) and ''The Leopard (1963 film), The Leopard'' (1963) by Luchino Visconti. Dino Risi (23 December 1916 – 7 June 2008) was an Italian film director. With Mario Monicelli, Luigi Comencini, Nanni Loy and Ettore Scola, he was one of the masters of ''commedia all'italiana''. Mauro Bolognini (28 June 1922 – 14 May 2001) was an Italian film and stage director of literate sensibility, known for his masterly handling of period subject matter. Early years Bolognini was born in Pistoia, in the Tuscany region of Italy. After earning a master's degree in architecture at the University of Florence, Bolognini enrolled at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Italian National Film Academy) in Rome, where he studied stage design. His 1966 film '' Le stagioni del nostro amore'', starring Enrico Maria Salerno, was entered into the 16th Berlin International Film Festival.
