Robb is a surname of Scottish people, Scottish origin, formed from a diminution (reduction) of the name Robert. Robert was a popular name, especially after its use by three Scots Kings in the fourteenth century. Rob is first recorded as a surname in the mid-15th century, with a handful of individuals recorded in the decades either side of 1500. He was the head football coach at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Wells unsuccessfully sought the Constitution Party's nomination for President of the United States in the 2012 presidential election. He ran as an independent in the 2016 presidential election. Robert "Kip" Wells (born April 21, 1977) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. In his Major League Baseball (MLB) career, he played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Washington Nationals, Cincinnati Reds and San Diego Padres. Robert Wells (August 28, 1933 – October 28, 2020) was a Canadian lawyer, politician and judge in Newfoundland. He represented St. John's South (provincial electoral district), St. John's South from 1972 to 1975 and Kilbride (electoral district), Kilbride from 1975 to 1979 in the Newfoundland House of Assembly. He sat on the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador from 1986 to 2008. Early life Wells was born in Badger's Quay, the son of Reverend Warwick Wells and Dorcas Parsons. Robert Wells (born 1947) is a UK poet and fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Wells was born in Oxford, where his father was a don and his mother a teacher. He attended King's College, Cambridge from 1965 to 1968, and worked as a woodsman on Exmoor in 1977, the year ''The Winter's Task: Poems'' was published. From 1979 to 1982 he taught English in Italy, Iran, and Leicester. He has written freelance and translated Virgil and Theocritus. Robert Joseph Wells (October 4, 1856 – February 12, 1941) was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Life and politics Wells was born in Mazomanie, Wisconsin. He moved to Mitchell Township, Minnesota in May 1878 and began working as a farmer. He studied law in his spare time, and was admitted to the bar in 1888. He married Sadie E.
