Robert L. Lawrence
Robert Leonard Lawrence (December 8, 1919 – September 23, 2004) was an American television and film Film producer, producer, and co-founder of Grantray-Lawrence Animation, which is best known for producing the first ''Spider-Man (1967 TV series), Spider-Man'' cartoon series in 1967. Career Lawrence graduated from West Point in 1943, and served as a First Lieutenant and then Captain (United States O-3), Captain in the United States Fifth Army in World War II. Following the Liberation of Italy, he co-founded Foreign Film Productions with fellow soldier Rod E. Geiger. Together, they secured Film distribution, distribution rights in the United States for Roberto Rossellini's film ''Rome, Open City'' and co-produced one of his next films, ''Paisan''. Jim Henson
James Maury Henson (September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990) was an American puppeteer, animator, cartoonist, actor, inventor, and filmmaker who achieved worldwide notice as the creator of The Muppets and '' Fraggle Rock'' (1983–1987) and director of '' The Dark Crystal'' (1982) and ''Labyrinth'' (1986). He was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and raised in both Leland, Mississippi, and University Park, Maryland. Henson began developing puppets in high school. Myron "Grim" Natwick (' Nordveig; August 16, 1890 – October 7, 1990) was an American artist, animator, and film director. Natwick is best known for drawing the Fleischer Studios' most popular character, Betty Boop. Background Born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Natwick studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and had five brothers and two sisters. Natwick's parents, James and Henrietta (Lyon), owned a furniture store. Eugene Merril Deitch (August 8, 1924 – April 16, 2020) was an American illustrator, animator, comics artist, and film director who was based in Prague from the 1960s until his death in 2020. Deitch was known for creating animated cartoons such as ''Munro (film), Munro'', ''Tom Terrific'', and ''Nudnik'', as well as his work on the ''Popeye'' and ''Tom and Jerry'' series.
