Rob The Mob
''Rob the Mob'' is a 2014 American romantic crime film directed by Raymond De Felitta and written by Jonathan Fernandez. The film stars Michael Pitt, Nina Arianda, Andy García, Ray Romano, Aida Turturro, Frank Whaley, Michael Rispoli and Joseph R. Gannascoli, and is based on a true story. It was released on March 21, 2014. Plot The film opens with two small-time crooks Tommy Uva (Pitt) and Rosie DeToma (Arianda) getting high and robbing a florist on Valentine's Day. Tommy holds up the cashier with a pistol while Rosie waited in the car she inherited from her father. Tommy is arrested and sent to prison for 18 months. In the meantime, Rosie gets a job at a debt collection agency run by Dave Lovell (Dunne), who went to jail for bilking major companies out of $800,000 through fraudulent invoices. Raymond De Felitta
Raymond De Felitta (born 30 June 1964) is an American independent film director, screenwriter and musician. Early life De Felitta was born in New York City. His father Frank De Felitta was Italian American and his mother Dorothy Gilbert De Felitta was of Polish Jewish descent. De Felitta graduated from Bard College in 1985 and the American Film Institute's directing program, class of 1990. Career That same year he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film at the 63rd Academy Awards for his AFI thesis short, ''Bronx Cheers''. In 1991 he was awarded a Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting for his screenplay "Begin The Beguine". Dominick "Skinny Dom" Pizzonia (born November 19, 1941) is a New York mobster and captain with the Gambino crime family who was a hitman and loanshark. Pizzonia allegedly participated in several high-profile murders.
