Rob Wilson (ice Hockey)
Robert "Rob" Wilson (born July 18, 1968) is a Canadian- British professional ice hockey coach and a former professional ice hockey defenceman. He is head coach of the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League. He is a member of the British ice hockey hall of fame. Playing career Born in Toronto, Ontario, the beginning part of Wilson's playing career included a three-year stint with the Sudbury Wolves in the OHL and one year with the Peterborough Petes, before landing his first job in Great Britain. In 1989-90, Wilson played for the Swindon Wildcats, but it would then take until 1994 before he returned to England. In the meantime, he honed his skills in the ECHL, CoHL, SuHL and AHL. In 1994-95, Wilson signed with the Sheffield Steelers of the British Hockey League, the following season saw him turn out for the Telford Tigers, then skate in the CHL and return to the Steelers. Telford Tigers
The Telford Tigers are a National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) ice hockey team that formed in 1985. After initially closing in 1999, a new team, under the name 'Telford Wild Foxes', was formed in 2001; and re-adopted the original name in 2005. The team is currently owned by Givarna Ltd. In November 2016, faced with mounting debts, the team began the process of entering creditors voluntary liquidation. A creditors' meeting, which would have decided the fate of the club, was scheduled for 30 November 2016, but on 25 November a consortium of local businesses intervened and acquired the club's assets, securing its future for the remainder of the season. The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called "PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga") (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a German professional ice hockey league and the highest division in German ice hockey. Straubing Tigers
The Straubing Tigers are a professional men's ice hockey team, based in Straubing, Germany, that competes in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Straubing plays its home games at the Eisstadion am Pulverturm, which has a capacity of 5,800 spectators. Italian Hockey League - Serie A, formerly known as Serie A, is the top tier of professional ice hockey in Italy, which first began play in 1925.
