Rob James (born October 30, 1977) is a Canadian singer and songwriter from Winnipeg, Manitoba who is known for being a former member of the pop group McMaster & James and the seventh-place finalist in the 2006 season of '' Canadian Idol''. In 1997, he formed McMaster & James with Luke McMaster, and released a certified Canadian Gold album with the group in 2000, featuring their hit singles "Love Wins Everytime", "Thank You", "I Understand", and "Sweet Sensation" while opening for pop artists like Christina Aguilera and 'N Sync After the group's success faded and their album deal expired, Rob auditioned for ''Canadian Idol'' Canadian Idol (season 4), in 2006. The Clarks are an American rock band from the Pittsburgh region, originating at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Over the course of thirty-plus years, they have produced eleven studio albums, two live albums, 2 compilation albums, an EP, and four solo releases, selling near to a half-million copies. History Formation and early years (1986–90) Around 1985, singer Scott Blasey, guitarist Robert James Hertweck and drummer David Minarik, Jr. were all enrolled at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), located in Indiana, Pennsylvania, approximately 45 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. Hertweck and Minarik (along with a bass player and saxophonist) were putting together a new band, and through a mutual friend, recruited Blasey to be their lead vocalist. Robert James-Collier (born 23 September 1976) (known professionally as Rob James-Collier) is a British actor. He is known for his roles as Thomas Barrow in ''Downton Abbey'' and as Liam Connor in ''Coronation Street''. Early life James-Collier was born in Salford, Greater Manchester, as Robert Collier, but changed his name to Robert James-Collier to comply with the rules of Equity and avoid confusion with another actor of that earlier name. He was educated at St Patrick's Roman Catholic High School in Eccles, Greater Manchester. He studied business at the University of Huddersfield for his bachelor’s degree, and later obtained a master's degree in marketing at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. Robert Mark "Robbie" James (23 March 1957 – 18 February 1998) was a Welsh international footballer who played for many teams including Swansea City, Stoke City and Queens Park Rangers. He represented his country on 47 occasions over a period of ten years, scoring a total of seven goals. He was a talented utility player who contributed greatly to Swansea City's rise from the Fourth Division to the First Division between 1978 and 1981, and helped them finish sixth in their first top division campaign. He played a total of 783 English league games between 1973 and 1994, scoring 134 goals. His league appearance tally is one of the highest of any player in the history of English football.
