Rob Davis (musician)
Robert Berkeley Davis (born 1 October 1947) is an English guitarist and songwriter. Early career Davis received his first guitar when he was 11 years old and music became a central part of his life. In 1962, at the age of 15, he and Dave Mounts formed a band called The Apaches, with a Shadows sound. He and Mounts continued to work together in several bands, including the Barracudas and in 1964, formed the Remainder. He joined the Mourners who were looking for a lead guitarist and in 1966, changed their name to Mud. Mud Davis was a founding member of the successful late 1960s and 1970s glam rock band Mud. In addition to playing lead guitar, he wrote a number of the band’s songs. He wrote the band’s first single, “Flower Power” which was released in the October 1967 but did not garner much success. Rob Davis (gridiron Football)
Robert Emmett Davis (born December 10, 1968) is a former American football long snapper in the National Football League and most recently assistant head coach for the Dallas Cowboys. He was originally signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 1993. He played college football at Shippensburg. Davis was also a member of the Baltimore Stallions, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers during his career. He played the 11 seasons with the Packers before retiring following the 2007 season and joining the organization's front office. Rob Davis (born ca. 1964) is a Canadian politician. He served on the York city council from 1991 to 1997, and was a member of the Toronto City Council from 1997 to 2000. Background Davis was born in Toronto, Ontario, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from York University. He worked as a stockbroker in private life.
