Brisbane Riverwalk
The Brisbane River is the longest river in South East Queensland, Australia, and flows through the city of Brisbane, before emptying into Moreton Bay on the Coral Sea. John Oxley, the first European to explore the river, named it after the Governors of New South Wales, Governor of New South Wales, Sir Thomas Brisbane in 1823. The Moreton Bay Penal Colony, penal colony of Moreton Bay later adopted the same name, eventually becoming the present city of Brisbane. The river is a tide, tidal estuary and the water is brackish water, brackish from its mouth through the majority of the Brisbane metropolitan area westward to the Mount Crosby Weir. Portland Riverwalk, located in the Ionia County, Michigan city of Portland, is a rail trail connected to a system of similar trails in total length. Used for walking, bike riding, and various sports activities, it has served as one of the city’s main focal features. History Portland rests on both the site of the big alls under the water. Riverwalk Kitakyūshū
is a prestigious shopping centre near the Murasaki river and Kokura Castle in Kokura Kita ward, Kitakyushu, Japan. It was opened as part of the Kitakyushu Renaissance policy on April 19, 2003. It includes theatres, restaurants, a multiplex cinema, NHK studios, the head offices of Zenrin Co. and the Asahi Shimbun (West area), and a branch of the Kitakyushu city art museum. Design The design is composed of five contrasting geometrical shapes in five colours (yellow, red, white, brown and black) to break the massive complex into acceptable proportions. Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium is the home of the Montgomery Biscuits of the Southern League. The minor league baseball ballpark opened in Montgomery, Alabama in 2004. Located in downtown Montgomery, the stadium can host up to 7,000 people a night. Riverwalk Stadium is a converted century-old train shed. The actual train station is located two blocks away from the field. The abandoned train shed is what is on the exterior of the first base side of the park. The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, previously known as Riverwalk Marketplace until 2014, is an outlet mall located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. It is located along the Mississippi River waterfront, stretching from the base of Canal Street, upriver to the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. It is connected to the adjacent Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. History By the start of the 1980s, increased use of containers in shipping made some of the older riverfront wharves less useful, so the Poydras Street Wharf and the Julia Street Wharf were demolished, and the land was used as part of the 1984 World's Fair. The Tennessee Riverwalk is a 13-mile (21-km) Foreshoreway, riverside path which parallels the Tennessee River from the Chickamauga Dam to downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is part of the Tennessee Riverpark System featuring the Tennessee Riverpark, Coolidge Park, Renaissance Park, Ross's Landing, the Walnut Street Bridge (Tennessee), Walnut Street Bridge, the Blue Goose Hollow section and the old U.S. Pipe property. The Tampa Riverwalk is a open space and pedestrian trail along the Hillsborough River in Tampa, Florida. Waterplace Park
Waterplace Park is an urban park situated along the Woonasquatucket River in downtown Providence, Rhode Island at the original site of the Great Salt Cove. Finished in 1994, Waterplace Park is connected to 3/4 mile of cobblestone-paved pedestrian walkways along the waterfront known as Riverwalk. Venice-styled Pedestrian bridges cross the river. Most of Riverwalk is below street level and automotive traffic.
