Riverside Theatre (Iowa)
Riverside Theatre is a professional theatre company in Iowa City, Iowa. Riverside is affiliated with Actors' Equity Association and is a member of the Theatre Communications Group, the National New Play Network, the Shakespeare Association of America, and the Institute of Outdoor Drama. As of 2018, the Artistic Director was Adam Knight. Riverside produces classic to contemporary plays and hosts regional and state premieres. It also stages a summer program of Shakespeare plays at a local park. History Riverside Theatre was founded by Ron Clark, Jody Hovland, and Bruce Wheaton in 1981 when they staged their first play " The Exercise" at the Old Armory building on the University of Iowa campus. In 1983, Riverside moved to the Old Brick, an historic former church building in Iowa City. In 1990, Riverside moved into a space on Gilbert Street in Iowa City's Northside neighborhood. Riverside Theater (Milwaukee)
Riverside Theater is a concert hall located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The venue seats 2,450 people and hosts many different recording artists and shows. It is leased by the Pabst Theater Foundation. History The building, which opened in 1928, was designed by local architects Charles Kirchhoff and Thomas Rose, who designed many theaters, including the Palace Theater in New York City. The theater underwent major renovations in 1984. The theater has a theatre organ, made by Wurlitzer. The Theater hosted Milwaukee's Liberace (for 6 nights) in 1986 before he died a year later. Riverside Theatre, Coleraine
The Riverside Theatre is located at the Coleraine campus of Ulster University in Northern Ireland. It was opened in 1976 and is the fifth-largest professional theatre in Northern Ireland. It is architecturally unique in Northern Ireland for its flexible staging facilities. Riverside Theatres is a multi-venue performing arts centre located in the CBD of Parramatta in the western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Opened in 1988, its venues include the 761-seat proscenium arch Riverside Theatre, the 213-seat Lennox Theatre, and the 88-seat Raffety's Theatre. The proscenium arch's architectural design is inspired from the common European Opera House concept which lends an intimate and live performance space.
