Ringside (boxing)
A boxing ring, often referred to simply as a ring or the squared circle, is the space in which a boxing match occurs. A modern ring consists of a square raised platform with a post at each corner. Four ropes are attached to the posts and pulled parallel under tension with turnbuckles to form the boundary of the competition area. Construction As there are a number of professional boxing organizations, the standards of construction vary. A standard ring is between to a side between the ropes with another outside. The platform of the ring is generally from the ground and is covered by about of padding topped by stretched canvas. The ropes are approximately in diameter and at heights of 18, 30, 42, and 54 inches (.46, .76, 1.07, and 1.37 m) above the mat, held up on posts rising around above the mat. Michael Brunson
Michael John Brunson OBE (born 12 August 1940, in Norwich) is a British broadcasting political journalist of over thirty years' standing. He is a former Political Editor, Diplomatic Editor and Washington Correspondent of Independent Television News, and an occasional ITN newscaster. Early life Brunson was born on 12 August 1940 in the city of Norwich in Norfolk. It was in Norfolk that Brunson grew up a in pub and learnt the pub trade. Education Brunson was educated at Bedford School, a boarding independent school for boys, in the county town of Bedford in Bedfordshire, and read Theology at The Queen's College at the University of Oxford. Life and career Brunson began his broadcasting career at the BBC. He joined ITN in 1968 and in 1971 covered the Bangladesh Liberation War and wrote a testimony about the death, starvation and suffering of refugees in West Bengal. Count Grog
Greg Mosorjak (born June 21, 1961), better known as Count Grog, is an American professional wrestling manager, referee, ring announcer, commentator, promoter, and booker. As a manager, he has worked for Cueball Carmichael's Independent Professional Wrestling Alliance, OMEGA and Southern States Wrestling and from 1994 to 2004, was the owner of Southern Championship Wrestling. A well-known wrestling personality in the Southeastern United States, especially in the North Carolina independents, he is best remembered for his long-running feud with "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant during the 1990s. He was also the founder and longtime manager of the "heel" stable "The Brotherhood".
