Ringo Sheena
, known by her stage name , is a Japanese singer, songwriter and musician. She is also the founder and lead vocalist of the band Tokyo Jihen. She describes herself as "". She was ranked number 36 in a list of Japan's top 100 musicians compiled by HMV in 2003. Early life Sheena was born with an esophageal atresia in which the esophagus narrows as it approaches the stomach. Treatment of this involved several operations, at least one of which required her right shoulder blade to be cut open. These surgeries left Sheena with large scars on her shoulder blades, said to give the impression that an angel's wings had been removed. Initial solo career Sheena released her first official single "Kōfukuron" in May 1998, when she was 19 years old. She subsequently made singles "Kabukichō no Joō" and "Koko de Kiss Shite", the latter becoming her first hit. Tsukiyo No Shōzō
(also known by its French title "Identité de la Lune") is Japanese entertainer Chiaki Kuriyama's fifth single, released on November 23, 2011. It acted as the theme song to ''Himitsu Chōhōin Erika'', Kuriyama's first starring drama. The two songs on the single were added to the deluxe edition of ''Circus'', which was released on January 11, 2012. Kabuki
is a classical form of Japanese dance-drama. Kabuki theatre is known for its heavily-stylised performances, the often-glamorous costumes worn by performers, and for the elaborate make-up worn by some of its performers. "Stem", also known by its Japanese translated title is a song written by Japanese singer Ringo Sheena and released in several versions. Background It was first released as a single in 2003, as as her 8th single and it was released on January 22, 2003 by Toshiba EMI / Virgin Music. The single version is sung in English, and was orchestrated by Toshiyuki Mori. The B-sides "Meisai" and "Ishiki" were arranged by Bakeneko Killer, a production team Sheena and Inoue formed. is a Japanese enka singer who made her professional debut in 1973. With a career nearing five decades, she is one of the most-recognized and successful enka singers in history. Ishikawa is a popular contestant on the annual NHK ''Kōhaku Uta Gassen'' broadcast. is the debut single by Japanese actress Yōko Maki, released on May 27, 2013. The Ringo Sheena-produced song was used as the theme song to the film '' The Ravine of Goodbye'' (2013), Maki's first leading film role since ''Veronika Decides to Die'' in 2005. Background and development Maki, a fan of Ringo Sheena's, first met her in 2007 or 2008, after which the pair became frequent penpals, and Maki often attending Sheena's concerts. is a Japanese actor, playwright and theatre director who has written and directed more than 40 plays in Japan, and is working to bring modern Japanese theatre to an international audience. Biography Noda was born in Nagasaki, Japan. He briefly attended Tokyo University to study law but eventually dropped out.
