Ringo Starr
Sir Richard Starkey (born 7 July 1940), known professionally as Ringo Starr, is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor who achieved international fame as the drummer for the Beatles. Starr occasionally sang lead vocals with the group, usually for one song on each album, including " Yellow Submarine" and "With a Little Help from My Friends". He also wrote and sang the Beatles songs "Don't Pass Me By" and "Octopus's Garden", and is credited as a co-writer of four others. Starr was afflicted by life-threatening illnesses during childhood, with periods of prolonged hospitalisation. He briefly held a position with British Rail before securing an apprenticeship as a machinist at a Liverpool school equipment manufacturer. Soon afterwards, Starr became interested in the UK skiffle craze and developed a fervent admiration for the genre. Frank Ringo
Frank C. Ringo (October 12, 1860 – April 12, 1889) was a professional baseball player from 1880 to 1888. He played four seasons of Major League Baseball as a catcher for the Philadelphia Quakers (1883–84), Philadelphia Athletics (1884), Detroit Wolverines (1885), Pittsburgh Alleghenys (1885–86), and Kansas City Cowboys (1886). He committed suicide by morphine overdose in April 1889 at age 28. His suicide is the earliest by a major league baseball player to be recorded in the ''Baseball Almanac''. Genaro Jacobo Contreras is a retired Mexican professional wrestler, or ''Luchador'' in Spanish, and is a professional wrestling trainer for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Contreras is best known under the ring name Ringo Mendoza, which he has used since his debut in 1968. Ringo Lee Chiew Chwee
On 29 December 1971, 55-year-old businessman and gold bar smuggler Ngo Cheng Poh, together with his two employees Ang Boon Chai, 57, and Leong Chin Woo, 51, were murdered by a group of 10 men. The group had also robbed the three men of 120 gold bars worth $500,000. This case was known as the Gold Bars Triple Murders. Seven of the 10 men were sentenced to death and executed for murder, while the remaining three were placed under indefinite detention. Background and crime This robbery and murder was hatched by 25-year-old Andrew Chou Hock Guan, who was formerly in business with Ngo's and several other gold bar syndicates to smuggle and transport gold bars from Vietnam into Singapore through the Vietnamese flights bound for Singapore. Ringo Le is an American filmmaker who is of Vietnamese descent. Ringo is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles. After college, he was selected as a fellow to participate in the Film Independent Project:Involve film mentorship program. He has also participated in the CBS Director's Program at CBS Television City in Los Angeles. Le directed the film Saigon Love Story, which was nominated for the Winds of Asia-Best New Asian Film Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival 2006. Ringo Lam Ling-Tung (, Cantonese: Lam Ling-tung, 8 December 1955 – 29 December 2018) was a Hong Kong film director, producer, and screenwriter. Born in Hong Kong in 1955, Lam initially went to acting school. After finding he preferred making films to acting, he went to Canada to study film. In 1983, he returned and began filming comedy films. After the commercial success of his film ''Aces Go Places IV'', he was allowed to develop his own film. Lam directed '' City on Fire'' in 1987, which led him to winning his first Hong Kong Film Award. Julio "Ringo" Cantillo is a former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. He played five seasons in the American Soccer League where he was the league MVP as a rookie. He won MVP honors a total of three times in the ASL. Johnny Ringo (born Bradley Miller, 1961, Jones Town, Kingston, Jamaica, died Kingston 1 July 2005) was a reggae/dancehall deejay active from the late 1970s to the early 1990s.
