Don Ringe
Don Ringe (; born c. 1946 – October 11, 2016) was an American political media consultant, Emmy Award winning journalist, documentary filmmaker and online innovator in both the US and overseas. He was a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism (MS) and Hofstra University (BA). He held a Certificate in Advanced Advertising Studies from the University of Southern California Graduate School of Business. While attending Columbia University he was hired by David Wolper Productions as noted author Theodore White’s research assistant for the CBS television special, "Making of the President, 1968." He was also the assistant to the producer of Wolper’s ABC special, "The Unfinished Journey of Robert F. Kennedy." He began his career as a copy boy at Newsday at the age of 18 while attending Hofstra University. Donald Ringe
Donald "Don" Ringe () is an American linguist and Indo-Europeanist. Ringe graduated from University of Kentucky and then received a Master of Philosophy in Linguistics as a Marshall Scholar from the University of Oxford. He received Ph.D in linguistics at Yale University in 1984, under the supervision of the late Warren Cowgill. He taught Classics at Bard College from 1983 to 1985. Since 1985, he has been on the Faculty in Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he has been a full professor since 1996. Ivo Ringe
Ivo Ringe (born July 5, 1951) is a German artist, who is classified as a concrete art painter. He is also a docent and a curator of international group exhibitions. Life and work In 1972 Ringe began studying sculpture at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under the instruction of professor Joseph Beuys. Like Imi Knoebel and Blinky Palermo, Ringe belongs to the Minimalism (visual arts)#Minimal art movement among Beuys' students. In 1974 he shifted the focus of this study and became a scholar of professor Rolf Sackenheim devoting himself to the study of graphic arts. In 1977 Ivo Ringe was awarded "Master scholar" ("Meisterschüler") by Rolf Sackenheim. Already during his studies, Ringe explored tessellation and Islamic geometric patterns, manifesting works of silkscreen print, etching and ceramic tile. Philip Theodor Ringe
Philip Theodor Ringe was a Livonian silversmith and jeweler and a Fabergé workmaster. He was born in Riga in Livonia Livonia ( liv, Līvõmō, et, Liivimaa, fi, Liivinmaa, German and Scandinavian languages: ', archaic German: ''Liefland'', nl, Lijfland, Latvian and lt, Livonija, pl, Inflanty, archaic English: ''Livland'', ''Liwlandia''; russian: Ли ... in 1824. Vishwanath Rao Ringe
Late Pt. Acharya Vishwanath Rao Ringe 'Tanarang' born on 6 December 1922 was a Hindustani Classical Music vocalist and composer. He belonged to Gwalior Gharana of Hindustani Classical Music. He composed more than 2000 bandishs in about 200 ragaas, for which he has been enlisted in Limca Book of Records. He wrote couple of books in past named 'Sangitanjali' and 'Swaranjali' and a recent book `Aacharya "Tanarang" ki Bandishen` was published. Pt. Ringe was the disciple of late Pandit Krishnarao Pandit of Gwalior gharana. He started learning music from his childhood. Ringe Municipality
Until 1 January 2007 Ringe municipality was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in the former Funen County on the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 154 km2, and had a total population of 17,177 (2005). Its last mayor was Bo Andersen, a member of Venstre (Liberal Party). The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Ringe. Ringe, Denmark
Ringe is a town with a population of 6,474 (1 January 2022) on Funen in central Denmark. It is the seat of Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality and was the seat of the now abolished Ringe municipality. The main office of Rynkeby Foods, a major Danish producer of juice and squash, is located in Ringe. Landmarks Museum The Ringe Museum is the only existing museum in the town and is a vast part of its cultural history. In 1704, the building was constructed as a school, with many improvements and adjustments being made in 1737. The museum is run by Midtfyns Museumsforening and is funded by Faaborg-Midtfyn Kommune, who owns the building itself. The museum has two interiors (bedroom and living room), an extensive array of historical weaponry and a broad collection of tools representing numerous crafts. Ringe, Germany
Ringe is a community in the district of Grafschaft Bentheim in Lower Saxony, Germany. Emlichheim Ringe has roughly 2,000 inhabitants and belongs to the Joint Community (''Samtgemeinde'') of Emlichheim. The community consists of the three centres of Großringe, Kleinringe and Neugnadenfeld and is mainly characterized by agriculture, although it also has an interesting history behind it. The community’s geography was once moorland, but this was cultivated by prisoners of war in the Second World War, for which the Nazis built a special camp, the ''Lager Alexisdorf''. After the war, homeless refugees found housing here, converting the camp into a new settlement, called Neugnadenfeld, now one of Ringe’s three centres (''Ortsteile'').
