''Ride'' was the first album released by the band Jo Hikk. It was released by Landis Productions Ltd. in 2009. The album includes the hit singles " Sweet City Woman" and "My Kind of Radio." Jo Hikk
Jo Hikk is a Canadian country music group founded in Calgary, Alberta. This four-piece band is composed of brothers Kelly Sitter (lead vocals, bass guitar) and Kenny Sitter (guitar, ganjo, vocals), Al Doell (drums, vocals) and Don Jorgensen (keyboards, mandolin). Their first album, '' Ride'', was re-released in early 2009. Their first single, "Closer", charted in the Top 40. The song was written and originally recorded by Thrasher Shiver in 1996. Jo Hikk scored two more hit singles with "My Kind Of Radio" and "Sweet City Woman"(cover version of a hit song by The Stampeders].(both hit top #20), while another key track, "Pimp My Tractor," was placed on the Big Rock compilation. With the success of "Ride", Jo Hikk was nominated at the CCMA Awards 'Rising Star' three years in a row and for 'Group or Duo of the Year'. George Canyon
George Canyon (born Frederick George Lays, August 22, 1970) is a Canadian country music singer. He was the runner up on the second season of ''Nashville Star'' in 2004. He grew up in Fox Brook, Pictou County, Nova Scotia before he moved west to Calgary, Alberta. He also holds an appointment in the Canadian Forces as the Colonel Commandant of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. "Sweet City Woman" is a 1971 song by Canadian rock band The Stampeders, appearing on their debut album ''Against the Grain'' (retitled ''Sweet City Woman'' in the US). Thrasher Shiver was an American country music duo composed of Neil Thrasher and Kelly Shiver, both of whom sang lead vocals and played acoustic guitar. In late 1996, the duo released a self-titled album for Asylum Records, and charted two singles on the '' Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. After the duo split up in 1997, Thrasher found work as a songwriter, writing for Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, and others. ''Thrasher Shiver'' is the only album by the American country music duo Thrasher Shiver, which was composed of singer-songwriters Neil Thrasher and Kelly Shiver.
