Richie Riley (dancer)
Richard Allen Riley II (born January 8, 1983) is an American college basketball coach and current head coach at the University of South Alabama. Playing career Riley played one collegiate season at Eastern Kentucky under Travis Ford. He graduated in 2005 from EKU. Coaching career Widely talked about as one of the highest regarded up-and-coming head coaches in Division 1 Men's Basketball, Richie Riley was recently ranked 16th on ESPN.com's “40 Under 40” list and a finalist for the Ben Jobe Award, presented annually to the top NCAA Division I minority coach by CollegeInsider.com. Known as an elite program builder and high level recruiter, especially in the transfer portal, Richie Riley's South Alabama Jaguars have had a top rated recruiting class all three of his years. South Alabama Jaguars Men's Basketball
The South Alabama Jaguars men's basketball program has competed in the Sun Belt Conference since 1978 when the league was formed. Since 1968, the Jaguars have compiled an overall record of 694–507 (.580). Ronnie Arrow returned as head coach in 2007, succeeding John Pelphrey after the 2006–07 season. In his three seasons succeeding Pelphrey, Coach Arrow was 63–34 (64.9%), and is 177–127 (58.2%) all time at South Alabama. He retired December 19, 2012 and was replaced by Jeff Price on an interim basis. On March 25, 2013, Matthew Graves was named as the new head coach of the Jaguars. On March 8, 2018, Graves was fired after 5 seasons after a 65–96 record with no postseason appearances. The 2016–17 Nicholls State Colonels men's basketball team represented Nicholls State University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. 2019–20 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 5, 2019. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020. The 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was scheduled to end in Atlanta on April 6, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. All other postseason tournaments were canceled as well.
