Riches And Stitches
''Riches and Stitches'' is a Hong Kong period drama produced by TVB starring Moses Chan, Kwong Wah, Anne Heung, Gigi Lai, and Melissa Ng. It was filmed in 2003, and then released overseas in December 2003. Then it was aired on TVB Pay Vision's TVB Drama channel from 27 June to 5 August 2005. However, it has yet to be aired on TVB Jade. Plot Siu Chun Hang (Moses Chan) has had a special affection for Cheongsam. He makes his first cheongsam for his dream girl Po Chui Lung (Anne Heung), formerly a princess of the Qing Dynasty. He makes alterations to Lung's cheongsam, resulting in a design that is simple but elegant. Since then, he has become well known for his skills as a tailor and a designer. Bowie Wu
Bowie Woo Fung (born 18 January 1932) is a Hong Kong veteran actor and director with family roots in Guangdong, China. A matinée idol in the 1950s and 1960s, he began his acting career in long form Cantonese films 1953, becoming an overnight success with his debut film, ''Men's Hearts''. In his long career he has starred opposite many of Hong Kong cinema's leading ladies, and of particular note are his many collaborations with Josephine Siao in 1960s musicals. For these roles he earned the nickname the "Dance King" for his dancing skills. In the 1970s Woo Fung began working in television and continues to do so as a contract artist to Hong Kong's TVB, with occasional guest appearances in films. June Chan
June Chan (born June 6, 1956) is an American lesbian activist and biologist. The organizer and co-founder of the Asian Lesbians of the East Coast (ALOEC), Chan raised awareness for LGBT issues relating to the Asian-American community. Biography Chan was born on June 6, 1956, in Lower Manhattan to parents who worked in New York City's Chinatown. Chan's mother was a refugee from China and the Japanese invasion of China. Chan's activism had its roots in her childhood, remembering tourists displaying racist attitudes to people in Chinatown. Chan attended the Bronx High School of Science and graduated in 1973. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in biology at the City College of New York in 1977. Chan earned her master's degree in biology from the State University of Buffalo.
