Richard W. Sears
Richard Warden Sears Jr. (born April 22, 1943) is a Democratic member of the Vermont State Senate, representing the Bennington senate district. Richard Sears was first elected to the Vermont State Senate in 1992 and continues to serve in that office. Biography Sears was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on April 22, 1943. He attended school in Ashland, Massachusetts, followed by the New Hampton School in New Hampton, New Hampshire. He went on to receive a B.A. degree from the University of Vermont in 1969. He has resided in Bennington, Vermont since 1971, and is married to Beverly Sears (formerly Beverly Bushey). He has worked in residential programs for troubled youth since the 1970s. Brian Campion (politician)
Brian Campion (born December 11, 1970) is a Vermont educator, and politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he represents Bennington district in the Vermont Senate. In addition to his work as a legislator, Campion is the Director of Public Policy Programs for the Center for the Advancement of Public Action (CAPA) at Bennington College where he facilitates all programs connected to state and federal policy. He has organized and led talk series on various public policy issues including contemporary challenges to American Democracy. Campion ran for state representative in 2010, one of three candidates seeking two seats in the Bennington-2-1 district. Both incumbent state representatives, Democrat Tim Corcoran II and Republican Joseph L. Krawczyk, Jr., were seeking re-election and had endorsed each other.
