Richard Gouse Field At Brown Stadium
Richard Gouse Field at Brown Stadium is a football stadium located in Providence, Rhode Island. It is the home of Brown University's football and outdoor track teams. The athletic teams at Brown University, known as the Bears, compete in the Ivy League. Brown was the last Ivy stadium with a grass playing field until the installation of a FieldTurf surface in 2021. The field is named for Richard I. Gouse '68, the primary donor of the turf field. Location and description Richard Gouse Field at Brown Stadium is located on Elmgrove Avenue in the city's East Side, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the rest of the athletic facilities and over a mile from the main campus. Brown–Rhode Island Football Rivalry
The Brown–Rhode Island football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Brown Bears and Rhode Island Rams. History They have met 106 times. They have played annually since 1909, except for 1918, 1923–24, 1943–45, 1992, and 2020. Since 1981, the Governor's Cup is given to the winner of the game. 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship
The 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship was the 46th annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national championship for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's college lacrosse. Eighteen teams competed in the tournament, chosen by either winning an automatic qualifying conference tournament or as an at-large bid based on their performance during the regular season. 1985 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship
The 1985 NCAA Division I lacrosse tournament was the 15th annual tournament hosted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to determine the team champion of men's college lacrosse among its Division I programs, held at the end of the 1985 NCAA Division I men's lacrosse season. In a re-match of the previous two years' finals, defending champions Johns Hopkins defeated Syracuse in the championship game, 11–4. Johns Hopkins finished the season with 13-1, with its lone loss coming to #13 North Carolina. This was Don Zimmerman's second straight national title as head coach. Steven Russell Jordan (born January 10, 1961) is an American former professional football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Minnesota Vikings from 1982 to 1994. Early life and education Steve Jordan grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from South Mountain High School.
