Murder Of Richard Everitt
Richard Norman Everitt (6 December 1978 - 13 August 1994) was a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in London, England, in a racially-motivated attack. Everitt's neighbourhood, Somers Town, had been the site of ethnic tensions. He was murdered by a gang of British Bangladeshis who were seeking revenge against another White British boy. He was not a gang member. The murderer was not apprehended and members of the gang fled to Bangladesh. Abdul Hai, Badrul Miah and Showat Akbar were tried in 1995. Miah was given a life sentence, with minimum terms of 12 years. Akbar was sentenced to three years in custody for violent disorder. Abdul Hai was acquitted by the jury on the direction of Mrs Justice Steel, the trial judge, at the close of the prosecution case. She ruled that there was no case for him to answer. Dick Everitt
Richard Ewart Everitt (3 May 1922 – 18 May 2012) was an English amateur footballer who played in the Football League for Darlington. Life and career Everitt was born in Carlisle, which was then in Cumberland. He was on the books of Sheffield Wednesday during the Second World War, making four first-team appearances in the wartime competitions, and moved on to Darlington during the 1944–45 season. He made his debutwhich proved to be his only first-team appearance for Darlington and only appearance in the Football Leaguein the second match of the first post-war season, on 4 September 1946 against Lincoln City in the Football League Third Division North. Unwilling to commit to full-time football, Everitt worked on the railways and played non-league football, in which he scored profusely. Richard Everett (December 11, 1597 – July 3, 1682) emigrated from the English county of Essex. On July 15, 1636 he and a party of settlers bought land from Native American on the Connecticut River at Agawan – now Springfield, Massachusetts.
