Rick Bennett
Eric John "Rick" Bennett (born July 24, 1967) is an American former ice hockey left winger and head coach of the Savannah Ghost Pirates. He is the former head coach of the Union Garnet Chargers men's ice hockey team of Union College, where he coached from 2011 until 2022. He played 15 games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers over three seasons from 1990 to 1991. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1990 to 1999, was spent in the minor leagues. Playing career Bennett was a four-year letterwinner (1986–90) and co-captain at Providence, where he was recognized as a Hobey Baker finalist (1990) and two-time winner of the Lou Lamoriello Trophy as team MVP. He was named an All-American during the 1988-89 season and earned All-Hockey East Second Team honors in 1990. Dick Bennett
Richard A. Bennett (born April 20, 1943) is an American former college basketball coach who is best known for building the Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball program into a mid-major power and revitalizing the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he is the father of current Virginia Cavaliers head coach Tony Bennett and former Northern Illinois women's basketball head coach Kathi Bennett. Early life Bennett was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in Clintonville, Wisconsin. He graduated from Ripon College in 1965 with a B.A. in education. At Ripon, Bennett played basketball (guard), football (halfback and return specialist), and baseball (third baseman) four years each. Richard Bennett (English Cricketer)
Richard Alexander Bennett (12 December 1872 — 16 July 1953) was an English first-class cricketer, who made 37 appearances in first-class cricket from 1896 to 1903. He led his own personal cricket team on a tour of the West Indies in early 1902, as well as playing county cricket for Hampshire. Militarily active, he served in the First World War with the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars. Early life and first-class cricket The son of The Reverend Alexander Sykes Bennett, he was born in December 1892 at Holdenhurst, Hampshire. He was educated at Eton College, but did not feature in the college cricket team. From there, he matriculated in 1891 to Christ Church, Oxford. Richard Henry Alexander Bennet FRS (11 May 1743 – 14 March 1814) was a British landowner who represented Newport in Parliament from 1770 to 1774. Life Richard was the eldest son of Bennet Alexander Bennet and Mary Ash, the daughter of Benjamin Ash of Ongar, Essex. The year before his birth, his father assumed the surname of Bennet upon inheriting the Babraham estate from his mother Levina, daughter of Sir Levinus Bennet, 2nd Baronet. Bennet Alexander Bennet died at the end of 1745, leaving his widow to raise Richard and a sister, Levina (who in 1762 married John Luther). Mary returned to Ongar with her children, and in 1747, married again to Richard Bull. Richard Henry was educated at Westminster School, where he was sent in 1752.
