Richard Norman Anderson (August 8, 1926 – August 31, 2017) was an American film and television actor. Richard E. Anderson (born July 29, 1941) is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Rutgers University from 1984 to 1989, compiling a record of 28–33–4. His highlight victory during that span was 21–16 win over Penn State in 1988—Rutgers' first win over the Nittany Lions in 70 years. He played college football at Penn State, and served there as an assistant football coach for many years under Joe Paterno. Playing career Anderson, a native of Queens, New York, played tight end and defensive end at Penn State for coach Rip Engle from 1960 to 1962. Richard Lloyd Anderson (9 May 1926 – 12 August 2018) was an American lawyer and theologist of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who was a professor of church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University (BYU). Richard Anderson (born March 14, 1967 in Vallejo, California U.S.) is a former American "Old School" professional bicycle motocross (BMX) racer whose prime competitive years were 1978–1986. Richard Darnoll Anderson (born September 13, 1971) is a former American football fullback in the National Football League for the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Penn State University. Early years Anderson attended Sherwood High School. As a sophomore, he was a two-way player at running back and safety.
