Carlos Fuentes Macías (; ; November 11, 1928 – May 15, 2012) was a Mexican novelist and essayist. Among his works are ''The Death of Artemio Cruz'' (1962), '' Aura'' (1962), '' Terra Nostra'' (1975), ''The Old Gringo'' (1985) and ''Christopher Unborn'' (1987). In his obituary, ''The New York Times'' described Fuentes as "one of the most admired writers in the Spanish-speaking world" and an important influence on the Latin American Boom, the "explosion of Latin American literature in the 1960s and '70s", while ''The Guardian'' called him "Mexico's most celebrated novelist". Paul Westheim (7 August 1886 in Eschwege, Germany – 21 December 1963 in Berlin, Germany) was a German art historian and publisher of the magazine ''Das Kunstblatt.'' The fate of Westheim's art collection, which was sold after his death by Charlotte Weidler, has been the subject of major art restitution lawsuits. Juan Filloy
Juan Filloy (1 August 1894 – 15 July 2000) was an Argentine writer. At various times, he was also a swimmer and a boxing referee. He was a polyglot, speaking seven languages. Most of his life was spent in Río Cuarto, Córdoba, Rio Cuarto where he served as a magistrate. Life and career Filloy was born in Córdoba. He received many honors and awards during his lifetime, including a nomination for the Nobel Prize. Manuel Musto
Manuel Musto (born September 16, 1893) was an Argentinian impressionist painter. He was born in Rosario. In 1914 Musto traveled to Florence, Italy. He returned to Argentina after hearing of his father's death. His style was influenced by the Italian school of the 19th century, including bucolic scenes of the countryside and flowers. The bulk of his work is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Rosario. The house where he resided is home to the art school that honors his legacy and name. Musto died at age 47 on September 12, 1940. An envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary, usually known as a minister, was a diplomatic head of mission who was ranked below ambassador. A diplomatic mission headed by an envoy was known as a legation rather than an embassy. Under the system of diplomatic ranks established by the Congress of Vienna (1815), an envoy was a diplomat of the second class who had plenipotentiary powers, i.e., full authority to represent the government. However, envoys did not serve as the personal representative of their country's head of state. Until the first decades of the 20th century, most diplomatic missions were legations headed by diplomats of the envoy rank. Ambassadors were only exchanged between great powers, close allies, and related monarchies.
