Reynolds Brothers, also known as Reynolds, is a department store chain in New Jersey. It was founded in 1899 and operated a single location for over 60 years before starting expansion into a regional New Jersey chain of family apparel and accessory stores. The store was founded by George F. Reynolds and was later run by his son and grandson. An off-price brand of women's clothing stores, the Rafters brand, was added in the late 1970s. The company had grown to 22 stores in 1996 when it was sold to a private investor group. It peaked at about 30 stores a few years later before having financial difficulties. Geography Reynolds is located in eastern Taylor County at 32.559167 N, -84.095556 W (32° 33′ 33″ N, 84° 5′ 44″ W). The town is located in the eastern part of Taylor County along the Fall Line Freeway and Georgia State Route 96, which run from west to east through the center of town. In fluid mechanics, the Reynolds number () is a dimensionless quantity that helps predict fluid flow patterns in different situations by measuring the ratio between inertial and viscous forces. At low Reynolds numbers, flows tend to be dominated by laminar (sheet-like) flow, while at high Reynolds numbers flows tend to be turbulent. The turbulence results from differences in the fluid's speed and direction, which may sometimes intersect or even move counter to the overall direction of the flow ( eddy currents).
