Rey De Reyes (2020)
The 2021 ''Rey de Reyes'' (Spanish for "2021 King of Kings") was a professional wrestling tournament and supercard event produced by the Mexican Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) promotion. It was held on May 1, 2021 in San Pedro Cholula, Puebla, Mexico at an unannounced location. The event was originally scheduled to be held at the Poliforum Zamna in Merida, Yucatan on March 21, 2020. However, on March 13, AAA announced that they were postponing the 2020 ''Rey de Reyes'' show due to COVID-19 precautions. The 2021 event was the 24th '' Rey de Reyes'' show and tournament, the first since 2019. In the main event match, Psycho Clown and Pagano wrestled Chessman and the debuting Sam Adonis to a no contest. Antonio Peña Promotions, S.A. de C.V. d/b/a Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide is a Mexican Lucha Libre (professional wrestling) promotion based in Mexico City, Mexico. José Julio Pacheco Hernández (born February 7, 1986), better known by his ring name Pagano, is a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican AAA promotion. He originally worked primarily in and around his hometown of Juárez, Chihuahua but in recent years has worked throughout Mexico on the Independent circuit before joining AAA in 2016. His ring name is Spanish for "Pagan". As Pagano, he primarily works a Hardcore wrestling style, which often includes the use of weapons and one or both wrestlers in the match bleeding profusely. Because of his preference for these types of matches, he has been given the nickname ''El Rey Extremo'' or "The Extreme King". The Impact Knockouts World Championship is a women's professional wrestling world championship owned by Impact Wrestling. It is primarily contested for in Impact's women's division, known as the Impact Knockouts. Laredo Kid (born December 30, 1986) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler. He is currently signed to both Impact Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, but is currently inactive due to abdominal surgery. Laredo Kid's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where private lives are kept a secret from wrestling fans. The AAA Reina de Reinas Championship (literally "AAA Queen of Queens Championship", "AAA Women's Championship") is a singles women's professional wrestling championship promoted by Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). It is the only females championship currently in AAA. Being a professional wrestling championship, it is not won legitimately; it is instead won via a scripted ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a storyline. From its creation in 1999 to 2009, the title was put on the line every year during the eponymous "Reina de Reinas" tournament, in addition to traditional defenses. The AAA Latin American Championship (''Campeonato Latinoamericano AAA'' in Spanish) is a professional wrestling championship promoted by the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) promotion in Mexico.
