John Jennings (musician)
John Edward Jennings (November 22, 1953 – October 16, 2015) was an American musician: a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer. Career Among his credits as a producer are eight albums which he produced for Mary Chapin Carpenter, as well as releases by BeauSoleil, John Gorka, and Janis Ian. Jennings has played acoustic, electric, slide, lap, steel and baritone guitars, synthesizers, organ, piano and percussion, sung background vocals and/or produced albums for Carpenter, the Indigo Girls, the Rankin Family, Niamh Kavanagh, Cheryl Wheeler, Iris DeMent, George Jones and Robin & Linda Williams, among many others. John Keane is an American record producer based in Athens, Georgia, who has worked extensively with R.E.M., Indigo Girls and Widespread Panic. He owns and operates John Keane Studios in Athens, which opened in 1981. Keane has participated in many music conference panels as an expert on subjects such as record production, home recording, and Pro Tools. These include South by Southwest in Austin, The Tape Op conference in Portland OR, Athfest in Athens, GA, and the Cutting Edge in New Orleans. Liam Ó Maonlaí
Liam Ó Maonlaí (born 7 November 1964 in Monkstown, County Dublin, Monkstown, County Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland) is an Irish musician best known as a member of Hothouse Flowers. Ó Maonlaí formed the band in 1985 with his schoolmate Fiachna Ó Braonáin. The tin whistle, also called the penny whistle, is a simple six-holed woodwind instrument. Mandolin
A mandolin ( it, mandolino ; literally "small mandola") is a stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is generally plucked with a pick. It most commonly has four courses of doubled strings tuned in unison, thus giving a total of 8 strings, although five (10 strings) and six (12 strings) course versions also exist. John Reynolds is a record producer. He was the first husband of singer Sinéad O'Connor; they have one child, Jake. Reynolds, formerly a drummer for the solo musician, Jah Wobble, met O'Connor and recorded her first album, '' The Lion and the Cobra'' in 1987, and has since collaborated on her '' I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got'' (1990), '' Universal Mother'' (1994) (for which he was nominated as Q Producer of the Year), the ''Gospel Oak EP'' (1997), '' How About I Be Me (And You Be You)?'' John Mark Painter
John Mark Painter (born c. 1967) is an American multi-instrumental musician, composer and arranger. He is best known for his role, with his wife, singer Fleming McWilliams, in the rock duo, Fleming and John. Painter grew up in Miami, and began playing trumpet, saxophone, bass, guitar and piano by age 11. Painter met McWilliams while attending Belmont College in Nashville, and immediately began collaborating on songs. While pursuing a record contract, Painter began playing studio sessions for artists like Indigo Girls, Nanci Griffith and Jewel. Fleming and John released its first album, ''Delusions of Grandeur'', in 1995 for independent label R.E.X. Records, then Universal Records. Danny Thompson
Daniel Henry Edward Thompson (born 4 April 1939) is an English multi-instrumentalist best known as a double bassist. He has had a long musical career playing with a large variety of other musicians, particularly Richard Thompson and John Martyn. For four years, between 1964 and 1967, he was a member of Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, led a trio that included guitarist John McLaughlin, and was a founding member of the British folk-jazz band Pentangle.
