2007 Spanish Local Elections
The 2007 Spanish local elections were held on Sunday, 27 May 2007, to elect all 66,131 councillors in the 8,111 municipalities of Spain and all 1,038 seats in 38 provincial deputations. The elections were held simultaneously with regional elections in thirteen autonomous communities, as well as local elections in the three foral deputations of the Basque Country and the eleven island councils in the Balearic and Canary Islands. The results saw few changes overall; most incumbent governments retained their majority, with only a few exceptions. The PP government in the Balearics fell, and a coalition led by PSOE took power. While the elections were seen as a first indication of how the 2008 Spanish general election might turn out, the results proved to be inconclusive. Socialist Party Of Majorca
The Socialist Party of Majorca ( ca, Partit Socialista de Mallorca, PSM; ), officially PSM–Entesa after the incorporation of Entesa per Mallorca (ExM) in February 2013, is a political party in Majorca, Spain. The PSM defines itself as socialist, environmentalist, and Catalan nationalist, from a Majorcan point of view. Ibiza
Ibiza (natively and officially in ca, Eivissa, ) is a Spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea off the eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula. It is from the city of Valencia. Ciutadella de Menorca () or simply Ciutadella is a town and a municipality in the western end of Menorca, one of the Balearic Islands (Spain). It is one of the two primary cities in the island, along with Maó. History It was founded by the Carthaginians, and became the seat of a bishop in the 4th century. (), also referred to as (), is the Menorca federation of United Left of the Balearic Islands. United Left in Menorca and the Socialist Party of Menorca (PSM) maintained a stable agreement between 1987 and 1994, called ( en, Agreement of the Left of Menorca), which obtained two representatives in the Balearic Parliament and the Insular Council of Menorca in the elections of 1987 and 1991, both of the PSM.
