Resolver (Shinhwa Album)
''Troubleshooter or Resolver'' ( ko, 해결사; ''Haegyeolsa'') is the debut studio album by South Korean boy band Shinhwa. It was released on May 9, 1998, by SM Entertainment. Background and promotion The group first performed the lead single, "Haegyeolsa" (Resolver) on KM Music Tank. The second single from the album was "Eusha! Eusha!". Because "Eusha! Eusha!" was a lighter song in comparison to "Resolver", which was a dark mood song, it appealed more to the mainstream listener, and climbed up the charts quicker. Shinhwa released their third single, "Sharing Forever", which charted fairly well as well.Because the album was released long ago, it is hard to find information on how well their singles charted or how they stayed at number one. However, various sources mention that the three singles did fairly well and reached number one on various charts. Shinhwa
Shinhwa () is a South Korean six-member boy band based in Seoul, composed of Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin, and Andy Lee. Launched by SM Entertainment on March 24, 1998, the group signed with Good Entertainment in 2004 before creating theiShinhwa Companyto manage their career as a band. The band struggled initially with their first album before finding commercial success with their sophomore album ''T.O.P.'' (April 1999). When their contract with SM Entertainment expired in July 2003, all six members signed with Good Entertainment and assumed creative control with the release of '' Brand New'' (August 2004). Lee Soo-man (, born 18 June 1952) is a South Korean business executive and record producer who is best known for being the founder of SM Entertainment, a multinational South Korean entertainment company based in Seoul. He has also been referred to as the "president of culture", as one of the pioneers of the Korean Wave. Lee debuted as a singer in 1971 while he was a student at Seoul National University. Bubblegum Pop
Bubblegum (also called bubblegum pop) is pop music in a catchy and upbeat style that is considered disposable, contrived, or marketed for children and adolescents. The term also refers to a rock and pop subgenre, originating in the United States in the late 1960s, that evolved from garage rock, novelty songs, and the Brill Building sound, and which was also defined by its target demographic of preteens and young teenagers. The Archies' 1969 hit "Sugar, Sugar" was a representative example that led to cartoon rock, a short-lived trend of Saturday-morning cartoon series that heavily featured pop rock songs in the bubblegum vein. Manfred Mann were an English rock band, formed in London and active between 1962 and 1969. The group were named after their keyboardist Manfred Mann, who later led the successful 1970s group Manfred Mann's Earth Band. K-pop
K-pop (), short for Korean popular music, is a form of popular music originating in South Korea as part of South Korean culture.
