''Resistance'' is the fourth studio album by American deathcore band Winds of Plague. The album has been produced by Will Putney who has worked with bands such as Thy Art Is Murder and Stray from the Path. Critical reception The album has garnered overall mixed reviews. Track listing Notes * The tracks "Snake Eyes" and "Looking for a Better Day" are different songs, with the latter starting at 3:32. However, on all releases of the album the two songs are combined into one track that is 6:22 long. Winds Of Plague
Winds of Plague is an American deathcore band from Upland, California. Formed in 2002, the band is known for being one of the few deathcore bands to incorporate symphonic elements into their music. The band's name is derived from a section of lyrics in the Unearth song "Endless": "Growing wings of sorrow/have brought you to the winds of plague." History Formation, name change, and early releases (2002–2005) Winds of Plague was founded in 2002 in Upland, California. During the time of the band's inception, its name was originally Bleak December. However, they changed their name in April 2005, to Winds of Plague, being named after a lyric from the Unearth song, "Endless". Attila is an American metalcore band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2005. They have released eight full-length albums. Though their original formation was in 2005, the band did not start touring full-time until around 2010. Christopher Joseph Fronzak (born November 20, 1989), also known as Fronz or Fronzilla, is an American musician who is best known as the lead vocalist and founding member of the metalcore/rap metal band Attila. Aside from his work in Attila, he is also the manager of record label Stay Sick Recordings and clothing line Stay Sick Threads. Career Attila Fronzak met Sean Heenan, Sam Halcomb, Matt Booth and Kris Wilson all in high school during his freshman year in Carrollton, Georgia, and formed his first band Attila, named in reference to Attila the Hun, which he came across in a book. The Acacia Strain is an American metalcore band originally from Chicopee, Massachusetts. They are currently signed to Rise Records. The band has released ten full-length albums. History Forming in 2001, The Acacia Strain was started by high school friends Vincent Bennett, Christopher Daniele, and Ben Abert. Looking to bring their current band Septic Orgasm to the next level of technicality, they brought in their mutual friend, Karrie Whitfield, and high school student Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz to play bass and guitar respectively. The band began playing local shows around Massachusetts and recorded their demo in 2001. Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns. Thy Art Is Murder is an Australian deathcore band from Blacktown, Sydney, that formed in 2006.
