Renan Demirkan (born 12 June 1955) is a German writer and actress. In 2016, she initiated the call "checkpoint:demokratie", which became a registered association in May 2017 and of which she is the chairman of the board. Walter Kreye (born 18 July 1942) is a German actor. Biography Kreye is the son of radio editor and writer Walter A. Kreye. He graduated from Bochum Drama School and then had theater engagements at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus, the Thalia Theater, and the Stuttgart State Theater. Jürgen Holtz (10 August 193221 June 2020) was a German actor on stage and in film, and an artist and author. On stage he played leading roles in East Berlin, including with the Berliner Ensemble, and from 1983 in the West, in both classics such as Shakespeare and Brecht, whose Galileo he played at age 86, and contemporary theatre, such as the title role in the premiere of ''Moritz Tassow'' by Peter Hacks. In film, he played leading roles such as Egon Schultz in Ari Folman's ''Made in Israel''. He received several awards including the Theaterpreis Berlin and the Konrad Wolf Prize.
