"Renegades" is a song by Feeder, released as the group's second single from their seventh album ''Renegades'' in 2010. The track started off life as a recording released under their Renegades side-project, with its release being on their first EP before then being included on the Feeder ''Renegades'' album. This single is also the only one to be released from ''Renegades'' that features any new material, with this being the B-side "Sending Out Waves". "Fallen", the B-side on "Call Out" started off life as a free download for anybody who purchased the second Renegades EP. Music video The promotional video features the same character as seen in the "Call Out" video (later seen on the album artwork), destroying the band's dressing rooms while they are rehearsing nearby and also takes her frustrations out on other people. Feeder (band)
Feeder are a Welsh rock band formed in Newport in 1994. They have released 11 studio albums, 12 compilations, four EPs and 43 singles, spending a combined total of 184 weeks on the singles and albums charts as of 2019, while accumulating 25 top 75 singles between 1997 and 2012. At their peak of commercial success, Feeder won two Kerrang! Awards in 2001 and 2003; they were inducted into their Hall of Fame in August 2019 for “Distinguished Services to Rock”. Feeder are one of the Britpop era bands to have continued success long after their peak. ''Renegades'' is the seventh studio album by Welsh rock band Feeder. It was released on 5 July 2010. It was the first in a proposed series of two albums to be released in 2010 by the band, before its follow-up was delayed until 2012. It is also the first studio album not to be released on The Echo Label, and also their first since 2002's ''Comfort In Sound'' not to feature drummer Mark Richardson, who left the band the previous year. The album features a heavier musical style reminiscent of the band's 1997 debut studio album ''Polythene'', and features primarily electric guitars, abandoning acoustic-driven songs that dominated their previous two albums. The album was promoted in early 2010 with a series of gigs under the name Renegades, with the shows serving to showcase songs that would be on the new album. Grant Nicholas
Grantley Jonathan "Grant" Nicholas (born 12 November 1967) is a Welsh musician, and lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Feeder. Early years Nicholas was born in Newport, South Wales, but grew up in Pwllmeyric, near Chepstow. He was educated at Monmouth School. He performed in public for the first time at the age of 11 at school, and gained four O-levels (the predecessor to GCSEs), including an A grade in Art. In school, Nicholas played the trumpet, and joined his first band, Sweet Leaf (named after a song by Black Sabbath, who were his favourite band in his school years, and the first he saw play live, at the Colston Hall in Bristol). He was promised his first guitar by his parents, as an incentive to pass his exams. He received the guitar, an Aron Les Paul copy after passing them. Call Out (Feeder Song)
"Call Out" is a song by Feeder, released as the group's first single from their seventh album '' Renegades'' in 2010. The single was given no airplay attention with the music video only available to see on the band's website for a limited time and on YouTube. At first the single was going to be released on a CD format, but due to a lack of interest in the single from the media the CD format was cancelled with the track then given away free online as a download, this was then followed by the release of the single on 1,000 limited pressings on the 7" vinyl format. The b-side "Fallen", appeared at the time as an instrumental while the league table was shown on ''Match of the Day'' and on the special edition of ''Renegades''. "Down to the River / This Town" are two songs on a double A-sided single by Feeder, released as the group's third and final single from their seventh album '' Renegades'' in 2010, while being their 31st single overall and their third double A-sided single after the 2008 release of " Tracing Lines / Silent Cry". Both tracks like the majority of the ''Renegades'' album, started off life as tracks first performed live under their Renegades side-project name, but were both only released commercially as Feeder tracks. "Down to the River" is the longest track on the ''Renegades'' album, running at 5 minutes and 23 seconds being edited down to 4 minutes for single release, while "This Town" has a running time of 2 minutes and 57 seconds. When "Down to the River" was first played live, setlists would list the song as "Down to the River" or simply "River" with Grant Nicholas introducing the song as "Down By the River". Renegades (band)
Renegades were a British rock band which started out as a side-project from two members of the band Feeder, featuring guitarist Grant Nicholas and bassist Taka Hirose, before becoming a pseudonym name for Feeder themselves. Nicholas formed Renegades alongside Hirose with Karl Brazil from Ben's Brother, who completed the group and a four-track EP was then recorded. Soon later, Renegades became an alternative name for Feeder at various concerts where they would play an entire show pretending not to be Feeder, but a different band with the same members. If Feeder songs released before the '' Renegades'' album were to be played, the band would announce that they're covering Feeder songs. Grant Nicholas once introduced "Tangerine" as "A cover of a song from a band we know". "Lost and Found" is a single from UK rock band Feeder (band), Feeder and is one of three new songs featured on their compilation album, ''The Singles (Feeder album), The Singles''. It was the second single from the compilation after "Shatter" was a double A-side with "Tender". The song was voted 79th best song of 2006 by the readers of Q Magazine. The music video features Feeder playing in an abandoned community centre and a street gang. ''Destructoid'' is a website that was founded as a video game-focused blog in March 2006 by Yanier Gonzalez, a Cuban-American cartoonist and author. Enthusiast Gaming acquired the website in 2017, and sold it to Gamurs Group in 2022.
