Remco Van Der Schaaf
Remco Jelmer van der Schaaf (born 28 February 1979) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Van der Schaaf was born in Ten Boer, Groningen. After playing youth football for VV Omlandia and TOP Oss, he began his professional career in 1997 at Vitesse Arnhem, where he spent part of the 1999–2000 season on loan at Fortuna Sittard. Van der Schaaf signed for PSV Eindhoven in 2002, and was injured in a 2004 UEFA Cup match by Titus Bramble of Newcastle United. Van der Schaaf re-signed for Vitesse in 2005, and in July 2008 he signed a three-year deal with Burnley, turning down a contract from Welsh side Cardiff City in the process. He made his debut for Burnley against Sheffield Wednesday on 9 August 2008 however this proved to be his first and only appearance for the club. Ten Boer
Ten Boer () is a village and a former municipality in the northeastern Netherlands, in the province of Groningen. The municipality had a population of in ; the village of Ten Boer has approximately 4,600 inhabitants. In 2019, it was merged into municipality of Groningen. History The village was first mentioned in 1301 as "conventum de Bure", and means "near the house". Ten Boer is a ''terp'' (artificial living hill) village on a grid structure. In 1301, a Benedictine monastery for nuns was established in Ten Boer. In 1485, it was incorporated into the monastery of Thesinge. Around 1425, the , a canal from Groningen to Delfzijl, was dug and the village received its current shape. The Dutch Reformed church is the former monastery church, and dates from the 13th century. Titus Malachi Bramble (born 31 July 1981) is an English former professional association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, centre back. Bramble played in the Premier League over thirteen consecutive seasons from 2000 and 2013, representing Ipswich Town F.C., Ipswich Town, Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United, Wigan Athletic F.C., Wigan Athletic and Sunderland A.F.C., Sunderland. The 2008–09 Danish Superliga was the 19th season of Danish Superliga league championship, which determines the winners of the Danish football championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The season started on 19 July 2008 and ended on 31 May 2009. The defending champions were Aalborg BK. The Danish champions qualified for the 2009–10 UEFA Champions League qualifying round. The Danish Superliga ( da, Superligaen, ) is the current Danish football championship tournament, and administered by the Danish Football Association. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated. History Founded in 1991, the Danish Superliga replaced the Danish 1st Division as the highest league of football in Denmark. From the start in 1991, 10 teams were participating. The opening Superliga season was played during the spring of 1991, with the ten teams playing each other twice for the championship title.
