Regula Mühlemann
Regula Mühlemann (born 7 January 1986) is a Swiss operatic soprano. Biography Mühlemann was born in Adligenswil, Switzerland, and studied voice with Barbara Locher at the Academy of Music in Lucerne in 2010, where she graduated with honors with a Master of Arts. Her first appearances on the opera stage included the following roles: Maturina in Gazzaniga's ''Don Giovanni Tenorio'', Barbarina in Mozart's '' The Marriage of Figaro'', Papagena in Mozart's ''The Magic Flute'', and Doralice in Scarlatti's ''Il trionfo dell'onore''. In Jens Neubert's film version of Weber's opera ''Der Freischütz'', Mühlemann played the role of Ännchen and was praised by critics. The '' Neue Zürcher Zeitung'' saw her as "a discovery of the first order." Adligenswil is a municipality in Lucerne District in Canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. It is east of the city of Lucerne and borders on canton Schwyz. Petite Messe Solennelle
Gioachino Rossini's ''Petite messe solennelle'' (Little solemn mass) was written in 1863, possibly at the request of Count Alexis Pillet-Will for his wife Louise to whom it is dedicated. The composer, who had retired from composing operas more than 30 years before, described it as "the last of my '' péchés de vieillesse''" (sins of old age). The extended work is a missa solemnis, but Rossini labeled it, not without irony, ''petite'' (little). He scored it originally for twelve singers, four of them soloists, two pianos and harmonium. The mass was first performed on 14 March 1864 at the couple's new home in Paris. Rossini later produced an orchestral version, including an additional movement, a setting of the hymn "" as a soprano aria. The Chamber Orchestra of Europe (COE), established in 1981, is an orchestra based in London. The orchestra comprises about 60 members from across Europe. The players pursue parallel careers as international soloists, members of chamber groups and as tutors and teachers of music. The orchestra receives substantial support from the Gatsby Charitable Foundation and the Underwood Trust; they have no single home resident hall and no appointed resident conductor.
