Reggie Williams (basketball, Born 1986)
Reginald Leon Williams II (born September 14, 1986) is an American former professional basketball player who most recently played for Science City Jena of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). He played college basketball for the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) where he is the school's all-time leading scorer. High school career Williams attended Prince George High School at Prince George, Virginia averaging 20.5 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists per game as a senior, while sinking a total of 41 three-pointers leading his team to a 22-5 record and to the Central region quarterfinals, all of this while playing several positions, ranging from the point to the pivot. College career Williams attended the Virginia Military Institute where he led the NCAA in scoring two straight seasons for the fast-paced VMI team. 2007–08 VMI Keydets Basketball Team
The 2007–08 VMI Keydets basketball team represented the Virginia Military Institute during the 2007-08 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Keydets were coached by Duggar Baucom in his 3rd year at VMI, and played their home games at Cameron Hall. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The FIBA AmeriCup (previously known as the FIBA Americas Championship) is the Americas Basketball Championship that takes place every four years between national teams of the Western Hemisphere continents.
