''Reflexiones'' (Reflections) is the 20th studio album recorded by Mexican people, Mexican performer José José, It was released by RCA Records, RCA Ariola in 1984 (see 1984 in music). It was written, produced and arranged by Spanish producer Rafael Pérez-Botija. This album became the first number-one set on the Latin Pop Albums, ''Billboard'' Latin Pop Albums, received a platinum certification in Mexico for sales of 250,000 units, and at the 28th Annual Grammy Awards, Grammy Awards of 1986 it was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album, Grammy Awards for Best Latin Pop Performance losing to ''Es Fácil Amar'' by Lani Hall. José José
José Rómulo Sosa Ortiz (17 February 1948 – 28 September 2019), known professionally as José José, was a Mexican singer and actor. Born into a family of musicians, José began his musical career in his early teens playing guitar and singing in serenade. He later joined a jazz and bossa nova trio where he sang and played bass and double bass. José José found success as a solo artist in the early 1970s. Demonstrating his tenor vocal ability with a stunning performance of the song "El Triste" at a Latin music festival held in Mexico City in 1970, he climbed the Latin charts during that decade. Having achieved recognition as a balladeer, his singing garnered universal critical acclaim from musical peers and media. Lani Hall
Lani Hall (born November 6, 1945) is an American singer, lyricist, and author. From 1966 to 1971 she performed as lead vocalist for Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66. In 1972 Hall released her first solo album, ''Sun Down Lady''. She may be best known, however, for providing the most recognizable (female) face and (female) vocal signature sound to Sérgio's group during her tenure there, and for her rendition of the theme song to the 1983 James Bond film, ''Never Say Never Again'', with its accompanying video, in which she prominently appears. In 1986 she was awarded her first Grammy for ''Es Fácil Amar'', as "Best Latin Pop Performance." After that year, Hall largely retired, resurfacing in 1998 with the solo album ''Brasil Nativo''. 28th Annual Grammy Awards
The 28th Annual Grammy Awards were held on February 25, 1986, at Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles. They recognized accomplishments by musicians from the previous year, 1985. The night's big winner was USA For Africa's "We Are The World", which won four awards, including Song of the Year which went to Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie.
