Redner's Markets, Inc. is a privately held, American supermarket chain headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania. Redner's is an employee-owned company that is wholly owned by present and past employees and members of the Redner family. In 2012, 48% was owned by Redner's employees and 52% by the Redner family. Redner's operates stores throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. The chain has a distribution warehouse located in Maidencreek Township, Pennsylvania. History Redner's Markets was founded in March 1970, by Mary and Earl Redner. They opened two supermarkets in Reading, PA. In 1975, the company formed an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), making them the first supermarket in Pennsylvania to be employee owned. In March 1987 the company opened its first Warehouse Market location. All its supermarkets were converted to the warehouse style by November 1987. Maidencreek Township is a township in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The population was 9,126 at the 2010 census. History Maidencreek Township, established in December 1746, was named after a creek that runs diagonally through the township. Quakers who settled the area in 1732 lived peacefully among the Lenni Lenape Indians until ''circa'' 1800, when the Quakers began to move west. Over the next 100 years, German and, later, Scots Welsh and Irish settlers purchased and moved into the areas that the Quakers left behind. Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland
The town of Bel Air is the county seat of Harford County, Maryland. According to the 2020 United States census, the population of the town was 10,661. History Bel Air's identity has gone through several incarnations since 1780. Aquilla Scott, who had inherited land known as "Scott's Improvement Enlarged," planned the town on a portion that he called "Scott's Old Fields." Four years later, the town had expanded as local politicians, merchants, and innkeepers purchased lots from Scott, and the county commissioners decided to change its name to the more appealing "Belle Aire." In his deeds, Scott dropped one letter, renaming the town, "Bell Aire." Around 1798, court records dropped two more letters, and "Bel Air" was born. Audubon is a census-designated place (CDP) in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was named for naturalist John James Audubon, who lived there as a young man. The population was 8,433 at the 2010 census.
