Red FM (Australia)
Red FM was a commercial radio network covering regional Western Australia. Formerly only broadcasting to mine sites, Red FM later covered every town north of Perth and following the re-branding of WAFM, included the major centres of Broome, Port Hedland, Karratha and Geraldton. Red FM was a part of the Redwave Media Group owned by Seven West Media and targeted 18 to 39 year-old listeners with a contemporary hit radio format. Red FM operated under the Australian radio callsigns 6RED, 6HED, 6FMS and 6GGG. History Red FM was launched in 1998, initially as a mining radio station providing news and music to the remote mining areas. It later extended its broadcast reach to other remote areas and towns that were previously served by WAFM. Red FM had the largest geographical service area for a commercial radio network in the Southern Hemisphere. Cue, Western Australia
Cue is a small town in the Mid West region of Western Australia, located 620 km north-east of Perth. At the 2016 census, Cue had a population of 178. Cue is administered through the Cue Shire Council, which has its chambers in the historic Gentlemans Club building. The current president is Ross Pigdon. The Cue Parliament is held twice yearly in May and November. Overview and history Gold was discovered in 1892 though there is uncertainty as to who made the first find. Michael Fitzgerald and Edward Heffernan collected 260 ounces after being given a nugget by an Aboriginal known as "Governor". Tom Cue travelled to Nannine to register their claim. Drumsite
Drumsite is a settlement on Christmas Island, Australia. Is located on the northeast coast, near the capital, Flying Fish Cove. The ethnic composition of the population is Chinese and European. In the area there are migration routes of red crabs that are protected. Cervantes is a town in Western Australia located off of Indian Ocean Drive about north-north-west of the state capital, Perth in the Shire of Dandaragan local government area. At the 2016 census, Cervantes had a population of 527. The town was named after a ship that was wrecked nearby. The ship, in turn, was named after Miguel de Cervantes, author of ''Don Quixote''.
