Red is the color at the long wavelength end of the visible spectrum of light, next to orange and opposite violet. It has a dominant wavelength of approximately 625–740 nanometres. Red Bank, New Brunswick is a small rural community (unincorporated area) in Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada. It is located approximately 20 km west of Miramichi, New Brunswick, at the mouth of the Little Southwest Miramichi River, at its confluence with the Northwest Miramichi River. The community lies on the southwest bank of the NW Miramichi and opposite its sister community Sunny Corner around the intersection of Route 420 and Route 425. A post office has existed here since 1854. In 1871 Red Bank had a population of 175, and in 1898 Red Bank had a population of 200. The community now counts a population of 398 people as of 2020, and goes up and down depending on season (with a high population during Summer). Red Bank (also Redbank) is an agricultural district in Tehama County, in the U.S. state of California. The district and nearby Red Bank Creek both take their names from Rancho Barranca Colorado (''Red Bank'' in Spanish). The red soil in question was said to be on the north bank of the creek. Red Bank was later the name of a post office in the district, previously named Eby, and of a school in the district. History A land granted dated December 24, 1844, refers to the Barranca Colorado "red ravine". Subdivision of the Barranca ranch began after William Ide's death in 1861. Red Bank is an unincorporated community on the west edge of Evansville in Perry Township, Vanderburgh County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. Red Bank is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Incorporated in 1908, the community is on the Navesink River, the area's original transportation route to the ocean and other ports. Red Bank is in the New York Metropolitan Area and is a commuter town of New York City. Battle Of Red Bank
The Battle of Red Bank was a battle fought on October 22, 1777 during the American Revolutionary War in which a British and Hessian force was sent to take Fort Mercer on the left bank (or New Jersey side) of the Delaware River just south of Philadelphia, but was decisively defeated by a far inferior force of colonial defenders. Although the British did take Fort Mercer a month later, the victory supplied a sorely-needed morale boost to the American cause, delayed British plans to consolidate gains in Philadelphia, and relieved pressure on General George Washington's army to the north of the city. Prelude to battle After the British capture of Philadelphia on September 26, 1777 and the failure of the American surprise attack against the British camp at the Battle of Germantown on October 4, the Americans tried to deny the British use of the city by blockading the Delaware River. The population was 9,617 at the 2010 census, up from 8,811 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Red Bank is located just east of the center of Lexington County at (33.932005, -81.230211). It is bordered to the north by Lexington, the county seat, and to the south by the White Knoll CDP. South Carolina Highway 6 (S.
