Realism (Steril Album)
Steril is a German electro-industrial/alternative electronic band founded in 1989 in Oldenburg (city), Oldenburg. Together with bands like Front Line Assembly, Project Pitchfork and Download (band), Download Steril made the Off Beat (label), Off Beat Label the biggest independent label for electronic music in Germany. Besides many appearances on electronic/EBM/industrial compilations, Steril has its own catalogue counting 5 full length cds and a couple of maxi singles. Over the last decade, the sound of Steril has been influenced by the developments in the industrial electronic genre. Nevertheless, a Steril track from 1994 is as recognizable as a track from 2006. Steril combines pounding club beats, complex arrangements and aggressive guitar riffs. The track are well composed with catchy hooks. Nocturnal Culture Night
Nocturnality is an ethology, animal behavior characterized by being active during the night and sleeping during the day. The common adjective is "nocturnal", versus diurnality, diurnal meaning the opposite. Nocturnal creatures generally have highly developed senses of hearing (sense), hearing, olfaction, smell, and specially adapted eyesight. Some animals, such as cats and ferrets, have eyes that can adapt to both low-level and bright day levels of illumination (see metaturnal). Others, such as bushbaby, bushbabies and (some) bats, can function only at night. Many nocturnal creatures including tarsiers and some owls have large eyes in comparison with their body size to compensate for the lower light levels at night. Covenant (band)
Covenant is a Swedish electronic band formed in Helsingborg in 1988. The band is currently composed of Eskil Simonsson and Joakim Montelius (born 22 August 1969) along with touring members Andreas Catjar, Daniel Jonasson from Dupont, and Daniel Myer from Haujobb. Their music comprises a mixture of synthpop and electronic body music. They have been releasing music since the early 1990s. Goethes Erben (Goethe's Heirs) is a musical group from Germany started in 1989 by Oswald Henke and Peter Seipt. History The founding idea for Goethes Erben was to combine German spoken words with musical theater. They are one of the first Neue Deutsche Todeskunst bands. By 1991, Peter had left the band and was replaced by American Mindy Kumbalek in February. Their debut album ''Das Sterben ist ästhetisch bunt'' was released in 1991. The band's unique blend of music and theater lends itself well to multimedia releases, and they have used DVDs with pictures, interviews and concert footage since 2001. Sparks is an American pop and rock duo formed by brothers Ron (keyboards) and Russell Mael (vocals) in Los Angeles. Boytronic
Boytronic is a German music group that plays electropop. It was founded in 1983 by Holger Wobker and Peter Sawatzki in Hamburg, Germany as ''Kapitän Sehnsucht'' (Captain Desire). The original Boytronic released two synthpop albums: ''The Working Model'' (1983) and ''The Continental'' (1985). The record company, claiming rights to the band name, put together a completely different line-up in 1986. It was headed by Hayo Lewerentz (Hayo Panarinfo) (U96/ Major Records) and continued to record under the Boytronic name until the mid-1990s. In 2002, Boytronic was revived by Wobker from the original group and Panarinfo from the second incarnation. Wolfsheim (band)
Wolfsheim () was a synthpop duo from Hamburg, Germany, that consisted of Markus Reinhardt and Peter Heppner. Although never officially disbanded, Wolfsheim has been inactive since 2005 due to a dispute between the two members, which even led to trials in 2007 and 2008 that forbade either member to continue Wolfsheim without the other. The band's musical style takes cues from the 1980s New Romanticism and new wave, usually considered synthpop or darkwave. They are best known for their singles "The Sparrows and the Nightingales" (1991), "Once in a Lifetime" (1998) and "Kein Zurück" (2003). Their lyrics tend to be melancholic, but at the same time modernist.
