Ready To Go (Republica Song)
"Ready to Go" is a song by English alternative rock band Republica, released as a single on 15 April 1996. The original recording was not included on the band's debut album, ''Republica'' (1996) – two other versions of the song, the US mix and the original mix, were included. This version was later featured on a greatest hits collection, ''Ready to Go: The Best Of''. The single originally reached number 43 on the UK Singles Chart in April 1996. Later in the year, the song began to gain popularity outside the United Kingdom, charting in Australia, Canada, and the United States. It was remixed and rereleased in the United Kingdom in February 1997, when it reached a new peak of number 13. This rerelease also saw the song chart for the first time in western Europe, reaching number 19 in the Netherlands and number 26 in Ireland. Republica
Republica are an English alternative rock band formed in 1994. The height of their popularity spanned from 1996 to 1999. The current line-up consists of Saffron (vocals), Tim Dorney (keyboards), Johnny Male (guitar), Conor Lawrence (drums). The Republica sound was described by the band as "technopop punk rock". The band went on hiatus in 2001 and reunited in 2008. Republica are best known for the single " Ready to Go". History Former Flowered Up keyboard player Tim Dorney and Andy Todd founded Republica. The ''Evening Express'' is a daily local newspaper serving the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. History It was first published in November 1879. It was a tabloid during the 1930s to the 1950s until it resumed as a broadsheet in November 1958, six days a week. Chorus Effect
Chorus (or chorusing, choruser or chorused effect) is an audio effect that occurs when individual sounds with approximately the same time, and very similar pitches, converge. While similar sounds coming from multiple sources can occur naturally, as in the case of a choir or string orchestra, it can also be simulated using an electronic effects unit or signal processing device. When the effect is produced successfully, none of the constituent sounds are perceived as being out of tune. It is characteristic of sounds with a rich, shimmering quality that would be absent if the sound came from a single source. The shimmer occurs because of beating. Techno is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) which is generally produced for use in a continuous DJ set, with tempo often varying between 120 and 150 beats per minute (bpm).
