Raï'n'B Fever
Raï'n'B (written Raï&B and Raï/RnB) is a musical genre that appeared in the 2000s in France, with elements of both French contemporary R&B and Algerian raï. The DJ duo Kore & Skalp Kore & Skalp are two DJs and producers who have worked together since 1997. Among others, they have made mixtapes, concerts and Scratch performances. And they have produced music for many underground groups, e.g. Eloquence, Costello and la Scred ... established the style and released the ground-breaking compilation album '' Raï'n'B Fever'' in 2004 with the best examples of the genre that included rap, R&B and raï. Many further albums were released in the series in 2006 and 2008 (produced by Kore & Bellek), the 2009 special ''Même pas fatigué'' and ''Kore'' in 2011. Contemporary R&B
Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. The genre features a distinctive record production style, drum machine-backed rhythms, pitch corrected vocals, and a smooth, lush style of vocal arrangement. Electronic influences are becoming an increasing trend and the use of hip hop or dance-inspired beats are typical, although the roughness and grit inherent in hip hop may be reduced and smoothed out. Contemporary R&B vocalists often use melisma, and since the mid-1980s, R&B rhythms have been combined with elements of hip hop culture and music and pop culture and pop music. Raï
Raï (, ; ar, راي, Latn, ar, rāʾy, ), sometimes written rai, is a form of Algerian traditional music, folk music that dates back to the 1920s. Singers of Raï are called ''cheb'' (Arabic: شاب) (or ''shabab,'' i.e. young) as opposed to ''sheikh'' (Arabic: شيخ) (''shaykh'', i.e. old), the name given to Chaabi (music), Chaabi singers. The tradition arose in the city of Oran, primarily among the poor. Traditionally sung by men, by the end of the 20th century, female singers had become common. Kore & Skalp
Kore & Skalp are two DJs and producers who have worked together since 1997. Among others, they have made mixtapes, concerts and Scratch performances. And they have produced music for many underground groups, e.g. Eloquence, Costello and la Scred Connexion. Since 2001, Kore & Skalp have been at Sony Music France. They separated in 2006 after 5 years together. Career Kore (real name Djamel Fezari) & Skalp (real name Pascal Boniani Koeu) have mixed tracks by a great number of French artists. They produced the album ''La Vie Avant la Mort'' (Life Before Death) by French rapper Rohff, and they have taken part in producing songs for albums by Booba, Don Choa, Willy Denzey, Leslie and all of the comedy DVDs by Jamel Debbouze. ''Raï'n'B Fever'' is a collective of mainly Algerian Raï, R&B and rap/urban artists contributing their best output of the Raï'n'B genre of music with fusion of elements of both genres in a series of albums also called ''Raï'n'B Fever'' albums. The collective and the albums were the idea of the DJ duo Kore & Skalp as duo Kore & Skalp, who in a matter of years became the most known producers of the genre. Kore (producer)
Djamel Fezari better known as Kore or DJ Kore is French music producer of Algerian descent. In 2001, he signed with Sony Music France. He was also part of the duo Kore & Skalp with producer Skalpovich and part of duo Kore & Bellek (duo also known as Kore for short). His is founder of the Artop Studios. He produces music in various genres including R'n'B, hip-hop, raï, pop etc. Career Kore has released a number of underground mixtapes cooperating with Eloquence, Costello and the Scred Connexion. He has produced for K-Reen, Rohff and Booba and took part in a number of Raï'n'B Fever releases, some prominently baptized by his name like in 2006, in 2008.
