Cuthbert Rayne
Cuthbert Rayne or Reyne or Raine was an English huntsman who served James VI of Scotland. James VI employed several English hunters and kennelmen who organised his field sports and looked after his dogs, including "Robert the English hunter", Cuthbert Armourer, Edward Dodsworth, and Cuthbert Rayne. Background Cuthbert Rayne's family lived at Marwood near Barnard Castle in Teesdale. A younger namesake cousin, Cuthbert Reyne, was a Catholic, and joined the English College in Rome in 1613. He wrote of his cousin, a son of Nicholas Reyne who lived at "Rogermy" (Roger Moor, at Marwood), that he was "in high favour with the King, for when Elizabeth was yet reigning, he used every year to visit Scotland and go to the King for the sake of hunting". Some huntsmen and bucks were sent to James VI in August 1586 by the English ambassador Thomas Randolph, who was at Newcastle, and the Scottish ambassador in London, Archibald Douglas. Dana Rayne (born March 5, 1981 on Long Island, New York) is an American dance and Pop singer. Rayne was a success on the American club scene where she started off as a DJ in New York. This led to her releasing a song, "Object of My Desire" which was a eurotrance cover of Starpoint's popular dance tune in the mid 1980s. It reached the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart in January 2005. Her second single, "Flying High" was never released, but can be found on some dance compilation albums. Rayne's projects feature collaborations with Jeannie Ortega, Lucas Prata and Dose of Fulanito. Ashley Nichole Lomberger (née Simmons; born February 5, 1986) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling under the ring name Madison Rayne, where she is also the coach of the women's division. She is best known for her time with Impact Wrestling, where she was the record-breaking three-time Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Champion. Rayne began her wrestling career on the independent circuit, wrestling under the names Ashley Lane and Lexi Lane. Max Rayne
Max Rayne, Baron Rayne (8 February 1918 – 10 October 2003) was a British property developer and philanthropist who supported medical, religious, education and arts charities in England. Early life Rayne came from a Jewish family. His father, Phillip, was a garment manufacturer living in the East End of London. It was a modest but cultured home – his grandfather had been a Hebrew scholar and teacher and his father had a lively interest in music, opera and conversation. Max was educated at the nearby religious, but non-denominational, Central Foundation Boys' School, Bow. Max studied psychology and accountancy and took a night school course in law at University College, London (which later gave him an honorary doctorate). After service with the RAF in the Second World War Rayne rejoined the family clothing firm.
