Raykov Government
The eighty-eight Cabinet of Bulgaria was an interim technocratic government set up by President Rosen Plevneliev's decree № 56 following the resignation of the Borisov government. The government, headed by Prime Minister Marin Raykov, ruled from March 13, 2013 to May 29, 2013, at which time the new cabinet took office. Marin Raykov
Marin Raykov Nikolov ( bg, Марин Райков Николов ; born 17 December 1960 in Washington, D.C., United States) is a Bulgarian politician and diplomat who was appointed to serve as a caretaker Prime Minister of Bulgaria and minister of foreign affairs of Bulgaria on 12 March 2013 by Bulgarian president Rosen Plevneliev. He left office on 29 May 2013 with his interim deputy PM Ekaterina Zakharieva. Raykov served as a deputy Foreign Minister in the governments of Ivan Kostov (1998–2001) and Boyko Borisov (2009–2010). From 2010 to 2013, he served as an ambassador of Bulgaria in France. Marin Raykov’s father, Rayko Nikolov, was himself a career diplomat. Petar Stoychev ( bg, Петър Стойчев; born 24 October 1976 in Momchilgrad) is a Bulgarian swimmer who is one of the most successful long distance marathon swimmers in history. He is one of the greatest marathon swimmers of all time and an honor swimmer in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame. Stoychev has 11 consecutive titles of a major international open water marathon swimming FINA series since 2001 (World Cup winner 2001–2006, Grand Prix winner 2007–2011) with more than 60 wins in individual swimming marathons.
