Ray Wheatley (Canadian Football)
Raymond Douglass Wheatley OAM (25 July 1948 – 20 June 2023) was an Australian Boxing Hall of Fame official and a Golden Gloves boxing champion. A heavyweight contender, he was also an International Boxing Federation supervisor, referee and judge of world championship title fights in Australia, America, South Africa, China, South Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. He was a regular guest on Sky Channel KO show during the 1990s with Mathew Brooks and in 2005 and 2006 was a broadcaster on Foxtel ''Fenech Fight Night'' with Andy Raymond and Colonel Bob Sheridan also ''Sports Sunday'' with Ken Sutcliffe in 1997 on channel Nine Television Network. The Order of Australia is an honour that recognises Australian citizens and other persons for outstanding achievement and service. Originally the term "welterweight" was used only in boxing, but other combat sports like Muay Thai, taekwondo, and mixed martial arts also use it for their own weight division system to classify the opponents. Daniel Geale (born 26 February 1981) is an Australian former professional boxer who competed from 2004 to 2016. He held the unified WBA (Super) and IBF middleweight titles between 2011 and 2013, and the IBO middleweight title from 2007 to 2009. Jeff Harding (boxer)
Jeff Harding (born 5 February 1965 in Sydney) is a retired world champion boxer from Australia, known as "Hit Man". Harding lived in South Grafton N.S.W. Australia and was a student at South Grafton High School. He trained with Steve Cansdell in Grafton before relocating to Sydney where he was first trained by John Lewis at the Newtown Police Boys' Club from where he won his first amateur title (NSW State). Harding was the 2004 Inductee for the Australian National Boxing Hall of Fame Moderns category. Muhammad Rachman (born 23 December 1971) is an Indonesian professional boxer. An over twenty-year veteran of the sport, he is a two-time minimumweight world champion, having held the IBF title from 2004 to 2007 and the WBA title in 2011. Nonito Gonzales Donaire Jr. (; ; born November 16, 1982) is a Filipino American professional boxer. Lovemore Ndou (born 16 August 1971) is a South African-Australian solicitor and former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2012. He held the IBF junior-welterweight title in 2007, and the IBO welterweight title from 2009 to 2010.
