Ravi Kant (Indian Executive)
Ravi Kant (born 1 June 1944) is the former vice chairman and a former managing director of Tata Motors. Education Ravi Kant completed his school education from Mayo College, Ajmer. He has a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and an MS in Industry from Aston University, UK. He is a distinguished alumnus of Mayo College, Ajmer, IIT Kharagpur and was conferred Honorary D. Sc. from Aston University. He has received distinguished alumnus awards from these institutions and Aston conferred on him a D.Sc. (Hon). He is an Industrial Professor at the University of Warwick, UK. and a distinguished professor at IIT Kharagpur. Ravi Kant (lawyer)
Ravi Kant is an Indian Supreme Court advocate and president of the anti-trafficking non-governmental organization Shakti Vahini, named after the Hindu mother goddess who fought injustice. He was educated at St. Vincent's High and Technical School and Delhi University. In 2013, Kant and his two brothers received a Vital Voices Solidarity Award from Joe Biden for their work on combating sexual violence in India. In 2020, he began working with Amar Singh on a Supreme Court case to ban LGBTQ conversion therapy. At present, the precedent set by Madras High Court's '' S Sushma v. Ravi Kant (born 14 September 1956) is a professor of Surgery at Sharda University, who was the director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh from 2017 to 2021 and the Vice Chancellor of King George's Medical University from 2014 to 2017. Earlier he was head of surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhopal and faculty at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi.
