''Ravenheart'' is the second studio album by German symphonic metal band Xandria, released on May 24, 2004 via Drakkar Entertainment label. The record includes two singles: "Ravenheart" and "Eversleeping". Overview With their second album Xandria suddenly became known in the gothic and metal scene, acquiring many new listeners thanks to the title track and its accompanying music video. Recorded and mixed in the Belgian studio of producer José Alvarez-Brill ( Wolfsheim, among others), in the months of December 2003 to February 2004, the album presents many different musical styles; in fact, together with the producer the band experimented with soundtrack-like tracks, bombastic arrangements, modern guitar riffs, and rhythmic samples. Xandria is a German symphonic metal band founded by Marco Heubaum in 1994. Originally a project, Heubaum later restarted the project as a band in 1999, and has gone through various lineup changes. The German vocalist Lisa Middelhauve joined for the debut album, co-writing both music and lyrics for the band until her departure in 2008. Middelhauve reunited briefly with the band in 2010 following the departure of the band's second vocalist Kerstin Bischof, but left again shortly after. Manuela Kraller joined the band as the new vocalist in 2010. The band released ''Neverworld's End'' in 2012, which was the only album to feature Kraller as she would depart in 2013. India (Xandria Album)
''India'' is the third studio album by German symphonic metal band Xandria. It was released on August 22, 2005 via Drakkar Entertainment label. The album also released one single, "In Love with the Darkness". In comparison with its predecessor ''Ravenheart'', the album presents a larger variety of musical ideas and a more powerful and dynamic sound, a clear progression for the band. The album features the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg and several guest musicians: the Irish folk band Sceal Eile, musicians and the female singer of the band Lyriel and the Australian Grant Stevens. The producer José Alvarez-Brill is the same of ''Ravenheart''. The recordings took place with some interruptions used for further song writing and arranging from December 2004 to June 2005. Lisa Middelhauve
Elisabeth Rodermund, known as Lisa Middelhauve (born Elisabeth Schaphaus on 28 November 1980) is a German musician, better known as the former lead vocalist and pianist (on the earliest works) of German symphonic metal band Xandria from early 2000, until April 2008, but returned as their singer in 2010, only to finish the remaining live shows due to their second lead vocalist, Kerstin Bischof's departure. After Xandria, in late 2010, Lisa Middelhauve was the guest singer for some shows of the French philharmonic metal band Whyzdom. And as well, she joined the Austrian symphonic metal band Serenity for several shows and the whole European tour 2011 with Delain. ''Kill the Sun'' is the German band Xandria's debut album, released on May 5, 2003 through Drakkar Entertainment label. The record includes one single, "Kill the Sun". Background This is the band's debut album. All songs which were to be found on the demo already plus another five which had been written in the meantime were recorded for it with producer Dirk Riegner, also known as the keyboard player of Secret Discovery and recently as the producer of Milú. After a short period of pre-production at Dirk Riegner's studio, which then was located right beside the grounds of the Zeche Bochum, the band entered Principal Studio in Münster in 2003. Within one week, the instrumental parts were recorded, and for the vocal recordings the band again went to Bochum to the small studio of the producer. Wolfsheim (band)
Wolfsheim () was a synthpop duo from Hamburg, Germany, that consisted of Markus Reinhardt and Peter Heppner. Although never officially disbanded, Wolfsheim has been inactive since 2005 due to a dispute between the two members, which even led to trials in 2007 and 2008 that forbade either member to continue Wolfsheim without the other. The band's musical style takes cues from the 1980s New Romanticism and new wave, usually considered synthpop or darkwave. They are best known for their singles "The Sparrows and the Nightingales" (1991), "Once in a Lifetime" (1998) and "Kein Zurück" (2003).
