Old Norse
Old Norse, Old Nordic, or Old Scandinavian, is a stage of development of North Germanic languages, North Germanic dialects before their final divergence into separate Nordic languages. Rannveig Kvifte Andresen (born 19 May 1967) is a Norwegian politician for the Socialist Left Party. Biography Andresen is a daughter of civil engineer Per Terje Andresen and psychologist Inger-Lise Kvifte Andresen. She finished upper secondary school in 1986, worked for the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions for two years before taking higher education. She minored in social anthropology and political science before majoring in pedagogy. She was a member of the Workers' Youth League from 1985 to 1987, but then joined the Socialist Youth. Rannveig Djønne (born March 3, 1974) is a Norwegian folk musician from Djønno in the municipality of Ullensvang, Norway. Djønne plays diatonic button accordion and is a graduate of the Ole Bull Academy in Voss. She released her first CD in December 2008. The CD is called ''Spelferd heim – slåtter frå Hardanger og Voss på durspel'' (Spelferd Heim: Tunes from Hardanger and Voss for Button Accordion). Rannveig Guðmundsdóttir (born 15 September 1940) is an Icelandic politician. She has served as a member of the Icelandic parliament, as Minister of Social Services in the Government of Iceland, and was President of the Nordic Council in 2005. Early life Rannveig was born in Ísafjörður, Iceland, the daughter of skipper (boating) Guðmundur Kr. Guðmundsson (born 15 August 1897, died 12 January 1961) and homemaker Sigurjóna Guðmundína Jónasdóttir (born 14 January 1903, died 9 September 1954). Rannveig Þorsteinsdóttir (6 July 1904 – 18 January 1987) was an Icelandic lawyer, judge, teacher, and politician. She was a Progressive Party member of the Alþingi, the national parliament of Iceland, from 1949 to 1953. In 1959, she became the first woman to practice law before the Supreme Court of Iceland. Biography Rannveig was born on 6 July 1904 in Mjóifjörður, Iceland. She was the daughter of Þorsteinn Sigurðsson, a fisherman, and Ragnhildur Hansdóttir, a housemaker.
