Randy Wood was born on November 4, 1970, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah and grew up in North Olmsted, Ohio, North Olmsted, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. He is an artist and performer who currently lives in Seattle, Washington. His comics and illustrations have appeared in numerous publications including The Stranger (newspaper), ''The Stranger'' and the ''Anchorage Press''. His paintings and installations have been shown around the United States, US and Canada at such places as the Henry Art Gallery, CSUF Grand Central Art Center, Grand Central Art Center, and Aqua Art Miami. Randy Wood (ice Hockey)
Randolph B. Wood (born October 12, 1963) is an American former professional ice hockey left winger who played twelve seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs and Dallas Stars. Career Wood's father Norman was the coach of the Princeton University hockey team from 1959 to 1965. He was born in Princeton, New Jersey and raised in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts. Before joining the AHL, Randy played hockey at Yale University for three years. In 1986–87, Wood joined the AHL team, Springfield Indians and scored 47 points over 75 games. He was called up to the New York Islanders during that time where he scored only one goal over six games. He routinely was sent down and called back up over the next three years until he became a solid spot on the roster from 1988 to 1992, where he then got traded to the Buffalo Sabres. Randall Albert "Randy" Wood (October 10, 1929 – October 7, 1980) was an American record company executive. As an executive and later President of Vee-Jay Records in the early 1960s, he was involved in the early successes of the Four Seasons, as well as the releases of the first Beatles records in the United States. He later launched several independent record labels including Mira and Mirwood. Life Wood was born in New York City, and started work in a record store in Manhattan before serving in the US Merchant Marine. After working for the Columbia and Folkways labels, he set up his own record store in New York in 1954. Randolph Clay Wood (March 30, 1917 – April 9, 2011) was an American record producer and the founder of Nashville-based Dot Records, one of the most successful independent record labels of the 1950s and 1960s. Early life He was born in McMinnville, Tennessee, the only son of two teachers, and began constructing radio sets as a child. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1941, and served in the US Army Air Forces as a radio engineer during World War II. In 1945, he opened a store in Gallatin, Tennessee selling electrical appliances and some records. After noticing that many teenagers were seeking rhythm and blues records by musicians such as Joe Liggins and Cecil Gant, he started a mail order business for hard-to-find records, in collaboration with Nashville radio DJs Gene Nobles and Bill "Hoss" Allen.
